Christopher's Organic Botanicals

Stem & Vein Review:

The grind is a little on the course side & could be a little bit finer but is not really a problem. It Is very smooth, relaxing & makes me want to just go lay down in bed & watch a movie. The effects comes on very gradually & slowly & start in 20 minutes & lasts a good 3 hours for me. Goes great with any Plain Leaf when making Blends. Just adds so much more Depth to the effects & also is long lasting & adds to the Duration of the Plain Leaf like it's a Potentiator. Works fantastic for getting your Tolerance down when taking a break from Plain Leaf. Overall I would say that this is some very good S&V. Highly Recommended in my opinion. 86/100

Wow, I have no idea what you're talking about! You buy stems and veins? Would you mind explaining a little more for someone who is in the learning process? Thanks!

I may need to add another stem and vein to my rotation. I have green stem and vein from Glazba and it's a good strain. It does everything a stem and vein should but I would like a more relaxing stem and vein. This one can be relaxing if your dosage is high enough and/or you add a red vein to it.

Stem and vein powders really shine when they are mixed with Kratom leaf powders.

The result is a more complete, longer lasting effect, with a fuzzy (sometimes a bit “dirty”) warm, sedating / relaxing feel. It equals out over-stimulating strains.

During the production of Kratom the stem and vein are removed.

Every kratom leaf is comprised of 3 parts:

The leaf:

The flat, broad leafy tissue which makes up the large green leaf of the kratom plant. This part of the plant contains the highest level of alkaloids in the plant, and is the main source of powdered kratom as we know it.

Kratom Strains Explained
Kratom leaf. This leaf would be known as “red veined” referring to the color of the veins running through the leaf.
The stem and vein:

The stem that connects the leaf to the larger kratom plant, and the vein which supplies nutrients to the leaf of the plant and connects the leaf to the stem.

kratom stem and vein
Pre-harvested kratom, attached to the plant via the leaves stem.
The stem and vein of the kratom leaf is typically removed and discarded before processing the leaves into the green-colored powder that we know as kratom. This process of removing the stem and vein of the plant prior to grinding up the leaves is to provide the most bio active compound in the resulting kratom powder.

The resulting product, minus the stem and vein, is known as premium grade kratom.

While the stem and vein of the kratom plant contains lower bio active ingredients (7-hydroxymitragynine specifically), it is definitely not devoid of it’s own health benefits. Recently many kratom suppliers have been processing the left over stem and vein just as they would their premium grade kratom.

What are the benefits of stem and vein?

Although it’s true that the stem and vein will end up as a less “potent” variety of kratom, it is not without it’s benefits. In fact, the stem and vein of the kratom plant may contain up to 40 unique alkaloids that are not found in the leaf of the plant.

If you enjoy the effects of stem and vein, it can certainly be a low cost choice of kratom that will fit in your rotation nicely.

Others choose to use stem and vein in combination with regular strains to extend the lifespan of its effects.

*In my experience I find it’s best to use only one strain per day to keep your tolerance low. If you choose to use two or more kratom strains together your body will be building a tolerance to all of the combined strains.

What are the effects of stem and vein?

While stem and vein does have a lower potency compared to premium plain leaf kratom, it does have it’s own special character and effects. Some of the effects of stem and vein compared to regular kratom are:

A more relaxing and sedative quality compared to most strains.
A longer duration of effects, on par with some of the longest lasting kratom strains.
A slower onset of effects compared to premium kratom.
When using stem and vein, you will have to take around 30% more than what you would normally take of premium grade kratom to feel the same effects.

What do I use stem and vein for?

A little known use of stem and vein is to refresh your bodies kratom receptors by taking a break from regular kratom.

This is mainly what I use stem and vein for.

After long term use of regular plain leaf kratom, your body will no doubt become accustomed to the leaf and the effects will become less and less, requiring you to take more kratom to boost it’s effects.

Whenever I notice that my tolerance has increased to the point where I need to take more kratom than I would like, I will take a week off of my regular rotation and use stem and vein to lower my tolerance.

Because of the unique alkaloids in the stem and vein, your body won’t have much of a tolerance to it and it will feel like you are taking a new strain of kratom for the first time.

I will then continue to use stem and vein in low to moderate doses over the course of 5-7 days to give my bodies receptors a chance to “freshen up”. During this time I won’t use any regular plain leaf kratom. This is important. The idea is to refresh your receptors and take a break from your regular kratom.

After 5 or so days, you can resume taking your regular kratom and you will notice your tolerance will be much lower than before. You won’t have to take as much as your bodies kratom receptors have been refreshed.

I prefer to save stem and vein as my “wash out” strain, to use specifically to freshen up my receptors.

That being said, plenty of people love to mix different kratom strains to find the perfect balance of effects.

Well I've haven't tried his stem and vein, but I've tried quite a few of his other strains.
Today I received my order, I got the 8 oz sampler, plus he sent a free sample of his white Vietnam. Being that everyone raves about his GV, I just had to try it first! ;)
Took it about 20 minutes ago, so I'm still waiting for the onset, but ill admit I'm already feeling something!
I've tried many vendor's green vein strain, but for whatever reason, I never seem to feel anything from a green vein strain, son I opted out of ordering any green this time.
Here what I got: Yellow Maeng Da, Yellow Vietnam, Red Thai, Red Vietnam, Christopher's Mix, White Agatha, White Mahakam, White Maeng Da, and the Cree sample listed above....AS I WRITE THIS POST, THE EFFECTS ARE GETTING BETTER, AND BETTER ;)--not yelling, btw---
If anyone here wants to see a review on any of the strains I have just let me know.
I've been using Kratom for a couple years now, and have tried many different vendor's Kratom, and I can honestly say that @C.O.B. Kratom is, by far, better than anyone of the others I've tried! Plus, I've yet to see any other vendor offer an 8oz sample pack+ 1freebie, for the price of $45, and free shipping!
Okay, I'm really liking this White Vietnam!!! So much so, I feel like calling Christopher just to tell him how much I love his Kratom, and his company! But I know he's a busy man, so ill refrain myself, lol ;)
Okay y'all,I'll come check later, to see if y'all want more reviews :)
