Ok so I know white stains give most people energy. For me white strains make me sleepy. I have tried a couple different white vein strains and from different sources, 2 from headshops and most recent an online order. Today I dosed with white MD I took a 1 teaspoon scoop didnt notice anything so about 30 min. later I took 1.5 teaspoon, felt good for an hour but now I an supper sleepy. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, there are “others” with similar responses. Some call themselves “opposites”. You may or may not find reds very stimulating as well, but there is no pattern of certainty. That’s why it’s so important to try all of the basic colors/strains - to find out how to effectively utilize them for your needs.

Sounds like you have more work to do “in the lab” with other colors...I’ll be extremely interested in hearing how that goes. None of the colors/strains make me sleepy at any dose (except i have gotten suddenly sleepy, requiring a nap after certain doses. I’ve never been able to repeat those results on purpose by duplicating the strains/dose used, so in my case, it must be partially metabolism related, I’m guessing?)

Many people utilize that sedative trick at bedtime, once it’s proven reliable.

rick,

my husbands an 'opposite' as well. we both do react similar in green and gold strains. but didn't realize we were almost out of reds when I was making caps last week. red Sumatra for me cant even tell you for how long it works cause I will be asleep within an hour or 2, hes able to take it before work. we haven't tried chocolates yet

@michele373....
Interesting you mention "chocolates". My all time favorite strain for nighttime pain relief and un-interrupted sleep was something called "dark brown". No chocolate reference, but it sure tasted and behaved like a strong red extract. I'm convinced it was UE, although not marketed as such. The supplier, Great Lakes Botanicals, has said that when it comes in, it flies out of the warehouse as fast as he can process it. Most certainly an out lier, where potency is concerned, for a plain strain that's not UE. I have looked around online and cannot find anything even close.....

Peace.

Please alert me if there is any left next time they get some. Sleeping and pain relief from kratom have eluded me thus far. I’d love to sample that one...sounds like you might be right. If it’s uei, I would be awake all night PHO SHOW.

michele,

I have a strain called Chocolate Bentuangie. I bought for nighttime use, but when I took it I can not fall asleep. I have even tried taking more than regular . It relaxes me, takes away all my depression and anxiety, but keeps me awake at night for hours. Maybe tonight ill try and mixing with my white MD and see how that effects me

Hope you slept great! I’m on the same path of seeking a sleeping accessory for nighttime. I’m using stem n vein for now. It doesn’t help sleep, but it doesn’t prohibit it, either. My metabolism is a challenge STILL.

Green strains do give me a little energy and motivation at times. I wonder if me having ADD effects white strains for me.

dami,

I have had no luck finding a chocolate strain, of course I found caps for another forum member~ maybe start a strain calling all members for help. we are stronger together! I do remember seeing it and I know they exist but of course I cant find it when im looking for it. is it a red strain? just wasn't sure what it was about.

great thing is we only have future adventures if its a lifelong journey as our new normal. I take one actual script which in a couple months will be gone. haven't even taken a acedomeniphen (sorry sp?) in over a month.
