which in your personal experience works better ? toss and wash or tea ? for myself the tea is much more effective but doesn’t last quite as long as toss and wash. I wasn’t a tea person for years till I finally got it right and tinkering with recipe etc. which works best for you? And for the tea people what method/recipe works best for you?

I’m more of a mix in juice and drink it down sort a fella...
I’ve made tea and have had some great results as well.. just takes some more Prep work .... I’ve t&w a handful of times and found that pretty nice as long as you dont breathe in by accident, that’s no bueno !!!

What’s your recipe for tea??
I soak about 2 Tbs of Kratom in grapefruit juice from 30 minuets to over night ... put that into my insulated thermos filled with just boiled water ...add maple syrup and a couple of herbal tea bags ....let is brew for a while 1hr to several....I keepnthevpiwder in and I drops to the bottom of my thermos.... when it gets toward the bottom when drinking I either drink the goop or call it done!!
actually don’t mind the bitterness plain , but spruced up with some maple syrup and some tea like throat coat ... very nice

Also tried just pouring super hot water over Kratom and letting it steep for 15-20 minuets, some success , maybe the difference in effects were dependent on the Kratom used and not necessarily the method ... or maybe both are just as important..??

I tried toss and wash and advise not to use that method. Its really not safe and there’s other ways to dose more effectively.
I’ve already read about people getting powder in their lungs and coughing for hours.
I advise against toss and wash because it’s an accident waiting to happen.

I pour hot boiling water over 5-6 grams, stir and let cool, then drink and chase with my favorite liquid.
2-4 ounces of water mixed in with 5-6 grams of powder goes down easy and just a few drinks of liquid washes it all down.
I have heard of making weaker tea and drink it with honey,lemon,etc....

Small bottle, Gerber makes a good one for milk storage, and a little juice, shake, drink. And use a scale, you may be surprised at the difference in weight vs volume.

Haven’t tried tea.

I'm not a fan of T/W. I'm not coordinated enough. :woohoo:

I have found that I seem to get the best pain relief with smaller amounts of kratom when I mix it with grapefruit juice. That is the method I have been using the most lately. I nuke about an ounce of water for 15 seconds then add the dose (0.7g to 1g lately) and let it sit for a few minutes because it mixes better in hot water than in cold g juice. I then mix with juice and drink it.

I've done some tea experiments by emptying a regular lipton teabag and adding the kratom in its place and then putting it in water that is not at a full boil for about 15 minutes. I read somewhere that boiling water damages some of the alkaloids. The few times I've done this it seems that it takes about 30% more leaf to get the same effect. I guess because I'm tossing the leaf instead of swallowing it?
My Grandkids say I’m a cuckoo head. ;)

Tea can be quite nice, if he leaf is nice, steeping is key, boiling I’ve heard breaks down the alkaloids as well Don, simmering I’ve heard is a good way.....

I used just boiled water cooled for a minute then put in a thermos with leaf ... stays hot but not boiling .... soaking the leaf I’m acidic juice before adding hot water may have a hand ... idk... but tastes good with a few herbal tea bags and some sweetener

Mixing with Simply (grapefruit) Juice is the best way I’ve found.

However, I use an antioxidant/vitamin/mineral powder that I mix it with now. In a Gerber jar is a great idea if you come into one. Thanks very much, Gibson.

I do T&W all the time, but agree it’s not safe to recommend new people try it. I do find powder works quicker. But. With meals, I tried consuming my 6-8 capsules during the meal and I have less pain during/after meals and don’t require immediate rest/re-dosing SOMETIMES. Experimenting is ongoing

I just put mine in my coffee with any flavored creamer. Sometimes I add a splash of half & half. It tastes amazing this way.

Toss and wash gave me a nasty lung infection years ago.
Live with the wonderful taste and breathe well.
