Hello . I found the wonderful Kratom over a year ago.
It has helped me bigtime with pain, mood and a hundred other things. I usually buy kilo size.Every vendor I have dealt with has been great. I went through Oties last order and I would highly recommend them for anyone.I have found that 90 dollars is the going rate using I love Kratom discount. Why are popular vendors charging 180 and more? Am I missing the Boat? Is this strain twice as good as what I am using? If so let me know? I will pony up! Thank you

Great question for the forum! My experience is that it matters more to me if I respond well to a vendor’s leaf. There’s no gray area. It either works well for me or not.
I don’t use extracts or tinctures. It’s super important to me that it is quality leaf, period. I cannot be a loyal shopper because I quickly grow tolerant of vendor product and must continue to try others (in small amounts, not by the kilo). I rarely buy a kilo because of the tolerance issue. The savings is useless to me. But. I never shop without checking for discounts and specials! I definitely utilize holiday values no matter how much I have on hand. Looking forward to reading other replies and great to have you back, emhbar11! The price point is a reflection of what the vendor is paying to get it to me. It’s fascinating to hear how much they endure to get good product for us. Some of my favorite vendors are in the higher price range as well as in the lowest price range. Laurie

Hey thanks for the shout out. So when it comes to Indo suppliers they all pretty much have the same price range for the most part. So I don't really see that as a reason to charge that much. I also don't think people should charge more because the quality is good. To me that's pretty messed up. The only two things that I can think of is greed, and the cost of running the operation. It's expensive. Lots and lots of supplies. So that can be why. Also, how many people are being employed by said vendor. For me personally, I would rather not be in the business, than charge over a hundred dollars for a kilo.

Yeah, it depends on how many people have to be paid for handling it properly and that number of people can be long if you include getting it from customs to warehouse, checking it in/logging the batches, getting samples out for testing, etc.

hi emhbar!
glad you found us! im sure there are a lot of factors, just like any business. how much they pay up front to keep stock running, shipping, customs, ability to get products, prices changing, whether or not they have to/ want to pay for a brick and mortar building/ storefront, ect. ect.. its great when places can give you great quality at a great price! most places charge more to split a key, oties encourages it. and their product is stellar. which is very rare. Bennis even sells products from other vendors. some even offer smaller minimums for free shipping which is super nice. bottom line buy what youre comfortable with in your price range. some are 15-30 an ounce for regular leaf and they will not get my business no matter how much I make. 4-10 is the average and most give you a significant bang for your buck when you buy the 100 g or 4 oz bag or larger.

You're not missing the boat, and I completely agree with Oties. Vendors overcharge a lot. The only difference would be a GMP vendor that conducts extensive testing. This is very unnecessary, as Laurie eluded to, as the leaf could have a lot of mitragynine and be extremely safe, but if it doesn't work for you, then it's not worth breaking the bank. I would find what works for you and then find what you value in a vendor. Do you like variety and rotation to keep tolerance low? How fast do you need it? Do you like CBD with your kratom? Vendors each have a niche and it is easy to find what you value in them.

Kinda piggy backing on what fused said, alot of the GMP vendors that do all this crazy extensive testing it's not even good. Not going to name drop but the other day I was on one of there sites. Was curious the see their results. The highest alkaloid content was 1%. The lowest was .3%!!!! Horrible! And to charge that price is just flat out disrespectful

you are both so right! from what I understand GMP testing is super expensive. theres one vendor that's GMP approved that's a little high on price that didn't work for me. period. they are not part of the approved or here on ILK so I wont mention the name, don't want to harm their business in any way. they were great and attentive but were talking 4 strains. nothing. tried many sized doses too. they worked for my husband but just a little. im sure they work for most or they wouldn't be in business!
but I agree with laurie, the co. either works for you or it doesn't. fused flora and oties are great examples of great quality kratom that doesn't break the bank. I finally tried fused floras gold Kapuas. great gold strain! good mood lift, warm energy. good pain relief. just gave me a nice warm fuzzy feeling. my husband must have missed a bag lol.. he loves your products! im on a buying pinch right now which is why I stocked up all summer. my hours went from 60 to 25... or trust me, I would have bought more sooner! just really trying to widdle the overflowing 'kratom box' and not taking as much since im not working as much!

Thanks for the advice.I wish it was that easy. There are so many strains, opinions and price
fluctuation.I don't know about all that jazz rotation. I order it I take it and it sometimes works sometimes it sucks. I got a kilo that made me vomit every time I took it. I contacted vendor and got the old thats shocking and not possible . Ok I said, Next!!!!! And how about the price at head shops. Christ what a scam. I am spent from researching and in pain because I ran out and that sucks Cheers
