If you are going to take an herb to detox the liver make sure you are also supporting your lymphatic system. When the liver starts getting rid of accumulated toxins they have to have somewhere to go. They are usually excreted through the kidneys, bowels, and lymphatic system.

If you stimulate release of toxins but they cannot be excreted fast enough by the body's own elimination routes...well...you might no feel very well.

Drink plenty of good water.

BE PATIENT. One liver detox does not a healthy body make.

Only way to support lymphatic system system is to drink water? What's the odds of it taking any fat away.

Bare with me folks. I am really worried about my over all health, but I don't want to lose kratom. I need to develop some forum of trial and error. Like work out every day while taking kratom and get another ultrasound, work out while eating healthy and then get another ultrasound, stop kratom for a month and get another ultrasound. This can be done in 3 or 4 months, but I'm not the smartest person either...

This is the same exact problem except Its been three years since heavy drinking. And hell this time last year I was 285 now a year later I'm 220. I'm not fat lol

Hi Guys. 2 days ago after getting an ultrasound for some right upper abdomen discomfort, my doctor tells me that I have fatty liver infiltration. He says I can deal with it through diet and exercise and get it checked again next year. The problem is that I take kratom almost every day now, and I fear that the kratom may have caused this diagnosis. Here is why... I do not drink alcohol, I quit drinking over a year ago after a pretty serious drinking problem. At the same time that I got the ultrasound, I had my liver enzymes checked with a blood test and they were perfect. Like I said, it has been over a year since abusing my body with alcohol. In the last year I have also lost about 50 lbs through diet and exercise and I am in the best shape of my adult life right now. So I really have a hard time believing that the fatty liver is left over from my drinking days. This leaves the only other cause as the kratom that I have been taking almost daily for about 4 months.

If Kratom is the cause of the fatty liver diagnosis, I am going to be very disappointed because it has really helped me leave behind the alcohol cravings. I am stopping the kratom as of yesterday and I will see if the discomfort which led me to the ultrasound goes away. (Never had the discomfort while I drank, btw). Has anyone else had liver problems from Kratom? Any other ideas of why this is happening? I would be really bummed to have to eliminate Kratom in my life. Help

I've never heard of kratom causing the problem. Consuming fat does not necessarily cause this problem, either. Google it to learn the known risk factors.

I'm not bashing maeng da, but as we all know everything comes with risks. For the mean time I will lower my does, take milk trustel detox thing, and I just joined a gym. Although the person at the gym says she has a fatty liver too and exercise doesn't help
Just diet.

Pretty sure powdered leaf product is saturated fat free. Sorry to hear about fatty liver, tho. Have you tried milk thistle? It’s the best herb for liver detox that I used to avoid death during my heavy drinking days of long ago. So glad kratom makes other substances look as bad as they really are.

Like I mentioned before, slight pain in the right side, felt swollen. Blood test came back fine and had a ultrasound. The ultrasound showed I have a fatty liver and doesn't cause pain. I asked about fatty liver disease and she said it's not that and just have a fatty liver. She said I have a long way to go before damage starts. But I'm unaware of what it was like before kratom. So there's no way of really telling. It could just be speeding the process up from where she said it's a long way till fatty liver disease. What if it's accumulating
quickly?
