Online Kratom's Premier Parvati Red Thai Kratom- would knock the flu all the down the road and then some. But it's expensive. I forgot how I got my sample but I remember I took it when I was sick with chills and body aches and it was magical.
Laurie feel better-Like I tell my daughters- my mothering instincts- is to drink lots of tea(green, regular, herbal and anything that Yogi makes, immune support and echinacea) Plenty of rest and make sure the shower is not excessively hot.

I can say increasing Rhodiola does not work one bit better. Seems to need a sweet spot dose tailored to your needs. I like 900 mg.

Feel better everyone.

When I'm sick with a cold or virus I usually feel great first thing when I get up but soon after crash and burn so I can relate.

Is that Insense Red Bali?
My notes show the Insense Red Bali I tried back in March just knocked me out at a 3g dose.
But that was before I knew what my dose was so I might need to try all the reds again at lower doses. :woohoo:

Sounds to me like your neighbors cat knows where he can get extra cuddles and free food.

My most recent attempt was futile as well. But I’m also not sure why, exactly. Last time I used it, 700 mg was too strong. So figured I’d cut the dose in half. Took 350 mg root extract and got back in bed with a virus. All I know for certain is it doesn’t overcome viral fatigue (I didn’t yet realize I was sick - went straight to self blame, depression fatigue..lol)..
I’m feeling a bit better and my goal today is shower, maybe shop as well. But it’s been AFTER AM coffee that this virus has hit me hard. I wake up feeling somewhat ok (that’s great for me) and then the fever and chills kick in. Hope nobody gets it from reading this!

Anyway, I still have about 350 mg Rhodiola root extract here waiting to be swallowed IF my fever is not running things.

BTW. Red Bali is REALLY nice for the discomfort and it doesn’t make me drowsy at all.

BTWA (By The Way Also). The neighbors cat is glad to see me upright to beg for food EVEN THOUGH he has a perfectly good home with perfectly great humans, a dog door, a COVERED CAT BED and the works as opposed to slumming it over here...

I tried 1000mg of the Rhodiola yesterday at noon because I was very tired due to getting up at 3am.
It did not work. I felt no extra energy as I had when I first tried it at 500mg.

I guess I will need to try it again at 500mg to see if less is more here or if this is also impacted by what you eat and when you eat it. :-?

Mulungu Bark Powder is the next one I would like to try in the near future. Seems a little harder to find a good supply but I haven't yet done a good search.

it has long been used in South America as not only a natural sedative, but also to calm an over excited nervous system and help with sleep issues.
quick over view-
The traditional use of mulungu for anxiety and stress, which has been well documented by researchers, shows that it effectively alters anxiety-related responses. The researchers reported that mulungu extract has an effect similar to the commonly prescribed anti-anxiety drug diazepam, without the drowsy side effects. It is a natural mental stimulant and body relaxer.

Take care everyone

Hey Nan,

Sounds like a pretty neat Herb. I have tried the Extract Caps that you trying but they gave me Stomach Upset. So now I have just the Root to make Tea but not too sure if I should try it or not because the Extract Upset my stomach. I am taking Prozac as well. So maybe I should stay away from Rhodiola just to be on the Safe Side. Thanks for letting us know all about it & how it helped you Nan. I'm sure there are still Herbs out there that are yet to be found in the Wild that we don't know Exist.

Hey y'all, :-h
I got some of these 500mg caps to try after reading about the Rhodiola.

I only wanted a small amount of caps in case it didn't work for me.

I only took 1 about 4 hours after my morning kratom dose and it did help with keeping me going. So much so that I did not take my afternoon dose of kratom.
I need to try this some more on the few days I do not wake up with a headache. :-bd

Hi madmax :-h

www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M3X6F21/ref=ppx_yo_dt...04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Rhodiola root extract 900mg
standarized to contain 3% Rosavins and 1% Salidrosides

I opted for caps. I already have too many botanicals that require preparation lol. Since fatigue was a big part of selecting Rhodiola I took an easy option. So far I have no doubts about the quality, this company is fairly new to the supplement market. Their selection is little more uncommon, at least I never heard of some of these botanicals.

Mood lift is similar to kava with more pep to it. I also find some amount of pain relief which its not really used for. Its not like Kratom but I could use this to replace kratom because it also helps me function. So yes I find mood lift.

These are the Drug-Herb interactions cautions-
Experiments have shown that Rhodiola can interfere with the CYP3A4 enzyme and P-glycoprotein activity. Take caution if combining Rhodiola with another drug that uses those entities to metabolize drugs. (Hellum, 2010)
As discussed earlier, Rhodiola also has MAO (monoamine oxidase) activity. Take caution if you are using medication that causes shifts in MAO activity. (van Diermen, 2009)
