Don- much funnier when the menopause fairy fully delivers, I have been waiting. We can leave the old lady having a baby to Janet Jackson and Daljinder Kaur (you don't want to know)

try to stay in the moment. not the past or the future.

Yes I agree, thank you Jayisk! this is the advice I needed, Really hit on my current problem. I am having increasing amount of trouble getting out of the bed in the morning, I wake up and find my thoughts drifting to a bad place.

Hug your families this thanksgiving and everyone enjoy the moments.

Nan,
My wife has always said that whenever two people pass from this life another is born.

Do you have a blessed event you want to announce? :woohoo:

I thought you might need a laugh. >:D

Wow! That is one fascinating story of kismet.

So sorry you are losing some relatives, sweet girl. No matter the relationship status.

Bet you hadn’t expected to attend a funeral BEFORE Mom’s!

Hope you’re feeling as well as you can and paying mind to self care.

It’s raining here for the first time in months. I’ll never forget how sunny and warm it was when my Dad passed. Hopefully you have appropriate miserable weather to continue your remembrance gatherings.

Hello to all my fellow ILK people.

This story continues. I attended my uncle's funeral today. He passed yesterday 4 days apart from his sister, my mom.
They have been estranged for decades for some stupid reason or another. While my mom was fading my father wanted to reach out to that family. We knew nothing of my uncle's aliments he was suffering from. Which were cognitive issues and he suffered a stroke. My cousin made contact before my mom passed. Her sister and brother flew in to visit their father, not yet terminal. They changed their plans to fly back to their homes when my mom died to attend her funeral. In doing so they were able to be with their father when he took a turn for the worst.
My mom's funeral allowed my uncle to have all his children at his bedside during his final moments.

To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven

Oh Nan..... I'm so very sorry for your loss. I offer you my heartfelt sympathies. Not all tears are bad. I hope my words do not come across as shallow. We all drink from this cup of sorrow. May God bless you and your family during these tears. I will be thinking about you today and praying for you all.

In all things be blessed,

Robie

nan

we are here for you. you know that. we all have intuition and sometimes you just KNOW certain things. you never want to see a loved one suffer. have to remember the good times. even if they drove us nuts! and you all know her wishes.. how beautiful is that. hugs to you and your dad and your whole family.
