Oh I was wondering what that was in my bottle of apple cider vinegar. So that goop is good for you?

That does sound interesting Abraxas. I actually have a sample of of a crushed leaf strain that I need to find a use for. I usually stick to powder but want to try it. So, I'm not sure what you mean by "the mother" and I want to get the recipe right. Can you fill me in? Thanks!
You get out what you put in....

Hey Guys! I was curious about cold brewing kratom tea so I gave it a try the other day. The results were impressive enough for me to want to share them!

First off, there is almost no bitterness to it. What little bitterness there is to it i'm sure could be attributed to the little bit of vinegar I added.

Secondly, it's just as potent if not more so than a stovetop brew.

It's getting pretty hot these days, so it's at least worth a go to keep the stove off! Here's the recipe for 2-3 servings:

Start with 1 litre of cold, filtered water and add in 3-5grams(or around twice your usual dose) of crushed leaf kratom. Then add 1 teaspoon of unfiltered, unpasturized apple cider vinegar with "the mother" (not only is apple cider vinegar a potentiate, it is a natural probiotic that helps with some digestive problems sometimes associated with kratom) . Then add 15ml (1/2oz) lemon or lime juice (this is another potentiate). Finally, if you're so inclined, add any other teas or infusions you want. I like to add a couple teaspoons of rooibos for flavor and color.

Put a lid on the container, or cover it with plastic wrap, and place it in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Take it out and agitate it once or twice throughout the day.

After 24 hours, strain the golden liquid out into another container and discard the tea leaves.

Damn that's refreshing!!!

Just remember that if you used the apple cider vinegar with "the mother" your drink will start to grow a culture if you leave it unrefrigerated for a day or so.

Kratom tea has always been my preferred method of ingestion, but boiling it all and squeezing the piping hot leaves through a strainer of cheese cloth is somewhat labour intensive. So here's a great way to get the exact same result, with a way smoother taste that takes almost no effort!

Hope y'all enjoy this as much as I am! I'll be experimenting around with adding some turmeric and pepper for a healthy alkaloid rich tea with a kick! I'll let y'all know how it turns out.
