I am not trying to throw random links at you, I see the question you are asking but I don't have the personal experience with suboxone to directly answer. I do not feel dependence or addiction to kratom. I take kratom among other botanical herbs and PT to manage chronic pain, spinal arthritis.

I finally found this discussion that might answer your questions more directly.

From reading member's posts who used Kratom to kick suboxone after they tapered the sub dose and started regularly dosing with Kratom about 30 days in up to two months they were past suboxone withdrawals and felt they completely kicked suboxone. Did they continue using kratom? I think structure tapered off of kratom that was his goal. Others continue with kratom because its a safer alternative to treating some chronic conditions they have like pain or anxiety.
The kratom addiction issue. You seem to need a solid answer, its as hard and simple as asking how long can you use coffee before you are dependent on it?
You need to use one substance to get off another many feel kratom is a safer alternative.
Read as much as you can, ask any questions you need, you might need to ask how difficult it is to taper off kratom.
