That is True cybin_spores. There is only a small part in Malaysia where Kratom grows wild. It is Illegal in Malaysia. So basically all Malay & Thai Strains are Indo I would think.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Kratom illegal in Malaysia? I’m wondering if Malaysian Kratom is actually a real thing in the market. I’ve read and been told that it’s illegal to possess, sell, and grow. If it’s truly illegal, then true Malaysian Kratom would need to be smuggled out of the country by somebody. So I’m just thinking that most if not all “Malay” Kratom is actually just Indonesian Kratom. Same with “Thai” kratom, it’s not actually from Thailand, because it’s illegal to grow, possess, and sell in Thailand, plus there isn’t wild Kratom forests in Thailand, other than one spot deep in the jungle, as shown on the show Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia. Just something to think about I guess.

Near the center of Southeast Asia sits Malaysia, a country with a very long and distinguished reputation for the cultivation, harvest and use of kratom.

The wet and tropical climate of this area makes it one of the most ideal locations in the world for growing strong kratom, and the vast length of time this kratom has had to grow wildly and interbreed has contributed dramatically has contribute to the unique effects of this strain.

Like the newly popular Riau kratom strains, many have discovered Malaysian kratom to be a true jack-of-all-trades, due of the immense versatility of this strain.

Effects and Uses
Because the effects of Malaysian kratom are so versatile, it would be hard to mention them all without creating an “encyclopedia malaysia”. For that reason, we will talk about some of the most prominent and powerful of the effects this strain can have; this should give you a good idea of whether this strain is right for you.

Balanced Energy
The energetic component of this strain, especially super green malaysian, can appear a bit random to some, because it is so different from other strains. Unlike Thai strains, where the energy hits you all at once regardless of other factors, with Malay strains, the energy is certainly present, but is much smoother and balanced.

For those who don’t have much experience with this strain, it can be tricky to figure out how this strain works, and to do that, it is a best to learn a bit about this plant’s unique energetic and sedative properties.

The most important factor is the dose dependence of a Malaysian strain’s energetic effects. At low to medium dosages, Malaysian kratom can be quite energetic and stimulating, whereas at high dosages, it can quickly become sedating.

Additionally, when taking Malay kratom at moderate to high dosages, it can be quite stimulating for the first few hours, and then settle into a relaxing sedation, as the more stimulating alkaloids wear off first. For this reason, if you want purely energetic aspects, we highly suggest starting with a lower dosage, and slowly increasing it to find your sweet spot.

Nootropic Properties
Something that is frequently noted by Malay strain users is that it tends to have fairly nootropic (cognition-enhancing) properties. The most prominent of these is its ability to increase focus, mental endurance, and mental energy for long periods of time. For this purpose, white and green vein Malaysian varieties are best.

To get the best results, it is important to use a low-moderate dosage, as higher dosages can diminish nootropic and energetic effects.

Pain Relief
Although pain relief potency can vary between malay strains, the vast majority are quite effective for this purpose. Because they are not nearly as sedating as strains, such as Bali, or Sumatra strains, they can be great for people who need pain relief but don’t want to give up energy and focus in order to achieve it.

The most pain relieving varieties of this strain are Red and Green veined.

Anxiety and Stress
The anxiety and stress relief potential of Malaysian strains has been frequently noted, and, as in the case of pain relief, you can have it without excessive sedation. Typically, like many other green veins, super green Malaysian is typically most effective for this purpose. Many have noted this strain to be particular effective for social anxiety..

Mood
Like many strains of kratom, this variety can have fairly strong effects on mood overall due to the unique blend of both mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. The ideal dosage for euphoric effects can vary dramatically from person to person, but typically fall within a range of 3 to 6 grams.

Popular Varieties
Like other kratom strains, Malays can come in white, green and red veins. However, because of the unique alkaloid profile, green vein varieties are by far the most popular.

(Super) Green Malaysian
This variety of Malay is by far the most popular due to its vast variety of effects and well-balanced profile. The most prominent of these effects are:

Energy (Balanced)
Pain Relief (Moderate/High)
Anxiety Relief (High)
Focus (Moderate/High)
Mood (High)

Another benefit of this strain, is that it has quite a long duration of effects in comparison to most others. Many have suggested this is due to the thick cell walls of the plant and unique alkaloid profile, causing it to break down more slowly than other strains.

Red Vein Malaysian
Although not as common, the effects of this strain make it quite noteworthy. This strain is typically noted for being more sedating and somewhat more pain relieving than its green veined cousin.

Pain Relief (High)
Anxiety Relief (Moderate)
Stress Relief (High)
Physical Relaxation (High)
Mood (High)
If you find a good supplier for this strain, you may quickly become a big fan.

White Vein Malaysian
White vein malaysian is also a fairly unique strain, and has a variety of virtues that make it quite useful. Of all Malay strains it is by far the most stimulating and energetic, even at high dosages.

Energy (High)
Focus (Moderate/High)
Mood (Varies)
Some people respond quite highly to the mood boosting effects of this variety of white vein, while others only feel the stimulating aspects. The best way to know if it is a good strain for you is to try it for yourself, I personally find this strain great for writing and coding due to its focus and energetic effects.
