So I have stomach problems which makes eating the plant matter or a lot of random things difficult for me. However, I have found that making a tea out of fresh leaves (I strain it even though there aren't a lot of small pieces, but I want to be careful for my stomach and I think it makes the tea last longer). I use a little bit of lime juice (never really heard exact amount to use, I don't use a lot because of my stomach though).

I do read a lot of people say that water is a poor extraction method because a lot is not soluble in water?

This may be the best method for me due to my stomach issues, but is there another way to extract more yet leave out the actual plant material?

I don’t know, but I appreciate this question SO MUCH because you are NOT alone.

Sounds great with the lime, too. Yummy.

I find ginger helpful for tummies, but getting it in extract form...haven’t seen it. Bet a drop or two would go great in that tea.

I’ve read that you need to KEEP USING THE SAME BATCH when making more tea, as opposed to ditching it for new. I’m not sure if that is for waste minimizing purposes because it’s been a while since I read that. I’m pretty sure it’s because different alkaloids are released at different stages of the tea preparation.

Do you reuse the leaves? It might be as simple as that?!

Hope you get more replies to this because there are a number of people suffering with this same issue and it mostly just limits their use/benefit.

Not sure if this answers your question this is a tea recipe.
I have mostly seen citrus acids used to extract kratom in tea. And one method that involves freezing citrus soaked kratom powder in water.

Extracting alkaloids by making tea is completely different than making a kratom extract/resin or tincture/liquid kratom.

I do use citrus and make the tea. Was going to try freezing too just to see if that helps, I figure it can't hurt anyways.

I read just a little bit on extractions and it seems like there's quite a few. I was interested if anyone had any advice for extracts that are known to be easy on the stomach.

I should add, I'm not at all unhappy with my results from the tea and I'd honestly be happy with only this, I don't need anything stronger. This is more my nerdy side wanting to play around. I don't really want to mess with my tolerance, but it could also be useful for certain situations (ie traveling).

Nerdy side here (I hope I am not stepping on any forum rule toes by posting these)

Freezing method

tincture

Cannot comment if any of these would help stomache issues.

Thanks for those methods.

So the first method is basically what I'm doing but I don't always freeze it (to be honest I'm not sure how much the acid even helps, but it can't hurt and personally I think it helps the flavor).

The second idea is interesting because a tincture would be nice. The problem is it seems like there are 2 choices. Alcohol which is most probably going to irritate my stomach. Then there's some vegetable oil that you can use but they say you need a lot. I can't even eat a lot of coconut oil at once because it messes up my stomach so I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to do a tincture.

I guess the tea may be the best method. Has anyone tried to boil down the tea into a smaller amount? Do you lose a lot by doing that?
