I haven't taken the leaf for 7 days straight many times at all. only my go go go 6 days work weeks for weeks straight I might have dosed a smaller bit just to get up moving and going. i was hoping that it would help keep my tolerance down but it really didn't help. my tolerance is a bit high but its still effective. but of course I switch up strains, companies, types, blend, ect.. ill take a full break by jan depending on work load

I took three doses yesterday. Red Bali and White S&V, then Hudson Valley Botanicals Green Hulu and Red S&V, and for the last dose I took Red Bali and White S&V again.

After that final one I think I got a taste of Red Bali's sedating potential, and that effect is even with me a bit today, this Kratom Free Friday.

I guess at the end of the day I was more susceptible to it, and maybe it's effect was cumulative, even though broken up by taking some Green Kratom in between doses.

Or maybe just tossing any Red into the mix after months of just Greens, and White MD, which is probably still basically a Green, was enough to provide a bigger effect.

I'll maybe know after today's KFF is complete, and when I feel the effect of using the Red Bali tomorrow as my first Kratom of the day.

Now I'm off to refresh the KFF thread, lol. :)

It feels like the S&V extends duration of a dose, but it also feels like it's got less opiate receptor binding potential. But I think it has other properties that help with pain/inflammation, and it has an alkaloid profile that deserves study.

Im interested in the hirsuta as well, I’ve been hearing folks on another forum say it reminds them of a red strain... dosages I read people taking of it are 6-8 gm range ..

Good to know that there’s other trails to get to a similar summit / view/ .... place !!!

Haven’t tried S&V ..... how’s the pain relief with those that you’ve tried ?? Does it add duration to your powder doses when combined ..? In your experience??

Thx Babel

I just tried the Red S&V from the picture above with the Super MD I won in the raffle Hudson Valley Botanicals was nice enough to hold.

The contrast in colors as I put both of them on the scale was marked, and it helped make the Red S&V actually look sort of reddish.

This might be the way to go, mixing the colors. I agree that way too much can be made of reading into the colors as the coloration is often more about the curing, but I do think that in the case of the better outfits, like TTB, the sourcing is from different areas for the different colored strains, at least so far in their having a different alkaloid profile.

TTB sells a Green S&V, but the majority of my Kratom is either Green MD, or Green Hulu, so I'll probably pass on that.

I might try their Hirsuta if it comes in stock, as I guess down the road I'll be getting more S&V, and maybe more Red Bali, or a different Red, down the road, and it pays to combine everything into one order, as the shipping cost is the same.

My first red since I first tried Kratom by way of some pretty decent smoke shop Red Malay, over the winter.

The Red Bali sample package, 12 grams for $3.50, was a last second add on to my order of Red Stem and Vein. I liked the White S&V I got from Tea Time on my previous (first) order, and here's a belated thanks to Laurie and others for recommending S&V.

So anyway, an hour ago I took a gram of TTB's Red Bali, and White S&V. "It's the solid potato salad, Jack!" lol (see video below, which I was inspired to revisit)

Nice combination imo, relaxing without being sedating, energetic without being speedy. Only a gram of the Red Bali, so it's not going to hit hard with pain relief, but my lower back does feel better, as does my perpetually stiff neck. The effects are coming up nicely as I finish typing this, at the one hour mark.

Solid!
