Hey everybody,

Over the last 7 years this forum has grown exponentially. With your help, We have created a community of Kratom enthusiasts to come together and discuss the industry. The traffic that this site has received has been exciting but also overwhelming. All the while the site grew a little out of date. Over the last few weeks we have updated the platform of the Forum as well as the face of the forum. CHECK OUT THAT NEW LOGO!!! sweet right?!

I just got it in and just took it 10 minutes ago. I don't have a scale that measures mg, but I took about a half teaspoon. I would say 400 to 500 mg. Maybe half a gram.
I put it under my tongue for a fee minutes then just decided to swallow it. I'm kinda nervous about this experience. I'm more nervous then first time taking kratom because to effects can be far and wide.

I bought some from Phytoextractum and have had it a number of times. It's mellow and subtle. I thought it seemed to reduce anxiety, but others have said it energizes.

I usually take about half a teaspoon, like you did. Not bad tasting. I can't imagine it would do anything scary, even if you took a larger dose.

I read where it makes people nervous, anxious, and one guy said his friend past out right after snorting it. I wouldn't do that. Idk if it works orally like I took it

The energy and anxiety are from stronger doses. Of course I tried it! I don’t recommend it. I much prefer the milled powder (about 1 tsp every 4 hrs until about 2PM or it can interfere with sleep, believe it or not).

It’s an S(N)RI and WILL cause problems if used in conjunction with other antidepressants. Which I found to be true by accident. I use kanna powder almost daily as my anti-depressant. And I’m still on low dose Chantix for quitting/staying off nicotine. I completely forgot that Chantix IS an antidepressant. I gotta pick ONE to benefit.
Also, long term daily use CAN cause the body to stop producing natural dopamine. :-O
Same with Chantix :-O
I’m now rotating.
I found Kanna powder to cause headaches and nausea at first (just like pharmaceutical antidepressants) and I pushed past about 3 weeks of that to gain tolerance. It’s not something I would have continued if it wasn’t helpful enough to tolerate headaches and nausea. Higher doses suck. Not recommended.

PS: don’t snort it unless you enjoy SERIOUS NASAL PAIN and a 5 second rush in the head (like huffing unsafe stuff) <—-I didn’t test that out. I believe it from all I studied. I smoked it a few times. No big thrill, made a mess in my pipe (kanna melts into resin and makes a mess). It’s a VERY SUBTLE herb and I wouldn’t bother if you don’t have depression going on. That’s where the benefit is. It’s helped me as a complementary herb when I’m not getting the mood lift from kratom.

Frogs, you took it perfectly for the first time. About a week of that and you will suddenly go, “hmmm, this is nice”. Exactly how you did it this time. Like Paul said.

I also enjoy the fermented kanna powder. But it gave me mouth splinters (sublingual use is ideal, but nobody has yet gotten that stuff smashed fine enough AND posted about it that I have found).

I now only utilize it as a tea with Yogi turmeric or whatever tea you enjoy. It’s NOT stronger. Just a little bit different that is very relaxing but not helpful for sleep (in my metabolism). Many people SLEEP BETTER with it. It stimulates my brain in a mellow way. Much like a good white vein. So I cannot dare have it at night which sux.

It reminds me of kratom MINUS the pain relief. It’s very noticeable ONLY IN THE BRAIN whereas my whole body can feel relief from kratom. But only one strain EVER of kratom has helped my rest. So I’m just one of those people who doesn’t get sedative benefits from either plant. Watch out! There are others like me! Hahahaha
