Hi Davids! Welcome to the forum!

Can you try simply reversing the steps you took to arrive at this kefuffel?

A lot of people get into this “hot mess” and then decide, “I’m over it” and expect a shortcut to getting back to start. Unfortunately. It’s not some mysterious secret recipe for reversing what took TIME to occur.

Usually playing with extracts and enhanced products for a good period of time can get you to this spot. We sympathize!

Many people think we are a bunch of fools discussing leaf when it’s so much easier to just take extract instead. They actually think that never occurred to anyone else. Yup.

We are happy to be of help. Have you discontinued the extracts/enhanced products?

Then you should start by following Babel-17’s suggestions for reversing your situation using supplements we recommend be used with or instead of kratom.

Your body will feel SO MUCH BETTER when you aren’t trying to process that much plant material, so don’t doddle.

No judgement here. We will virtually hold your hand, if you like (some do).

The very first emotion you’ll run into is anxiety/fear. That is only the brain telling you to “TAKE MORE, PHUCK THIS”.
Be sure to stop in here immediately to be reminded that anxiety IS one of the worst side effects of cutting back use, and it is GOOD news, however annoying. It lasts almost the entire time. But we can recommend MANY alternatives to help you manage that.

Don’t ven bother trying until you’re ready. We will still be here for you!

davids,

yes see.. takes a village lol.. but yeah we all have different experiences.

I personally love insense/ gold leaf botanicals for their herbal section. some of the best akuamma for the price. BUT it only comes powdered. which is fine if you have capsules or obliate discs or something. its horribly nasty bitter.

organic elements and pharmacy dropout, are the first ones that comes to mind with pre made capsules, im sure theres more. but im drawing a blank

honestly, its easy for me to spend your money, but most capsule machines are handy to have. I fill with kratom and herbals, and have 2 sizes. its payed itself back in a couple months of just not buying caps and making my own.

and davids, if it helps at all, my husband got off suboxone ( over 10 yrs ) with kratom, his doses may be bigger, but he is a big bear dude. he now can have days off still and no w/d symptoms.

jayisk, you might be onto something.. and yes no medical pro here. I get lab work at least once a year. if you are in a 'safer' state I advise it as well. just tell your doc that you are experimenting with herbals and you want to make sure youre not doing damage. I had an appointment with a naturopath and then all this crap went down. gotta call and reschedule like most of my appointments that weren't immediately needed.

Only way to tell is to get blood work done. This way you will know if anything is off in your body and go from there. And speak to a dr regarding your symptoms. Maybe something besides kratom.

From all I’ve read and heard , It’s very rare when one has liver issues from kratom ... I mean anything is possible ... and if a person is taking boatloads everyday for sustained periods ( taking about a lot of kratom everyday , over 50 -60 +gms or more a day ... best guess ) perhaps your body would be saying wtf?
The most likely issue I think would be constipation from all the leaf matter .

For those who are prone for liver issues with kratom , My understanding is that the signs would be apparent within the first couple of weeks of reg use , once no longer taking kratom the liver problems go away.. this is very rare when this happens and the good news is it’s reversible with no further use .

Akuamma can be purchased from many sources , some kratom vendors provide this herb on their site .. here’s a couple with Akuamma extracts and a couple with plain powder .

Fused Flora -extract
InSense/ Goldleaf Botanical - extract
Benni Botanical - extract

PDO-plain powder
Organic Elements Online - plain powder
TopExtracts- plain powder

There’s others but these ones come to mind immediately

I respond best to plain powder but have had extracts that are very good as well.

Babel and michele gave awesome advise , some added herbs such as the ones they mentioned would be very helpful, I’ve been enjoying Chuchuhuasi and Incarvilea sinensis.... combined with Akuamma , good herbal ally’s .... stem and vein as well

Good morning Davids,
Welcome to ILK,

I’ve personally have only taken a couple 2 day breaks in the three years I’ve been utilizing kratom. What helped me was taking the herb Akuamma , I didn’t experience WD symptoms other than less energy . But get generally , tapering down by .5 -2 gms a week till you’re amount is down significantly. Some may experience a bigger challenge, especially if taking extracts frequently . Stopping abruptly will be rougher than if you weaned down .

We are here for you ,

Brando

hey davids!

glad you found us. glad to have you here. I understand your situation. before my reset I was roughly about an ounce a day. I was able to quit cold turkey without many side effects. then again I got the flu about a week in, so truly it was hard to tell.

with my reset I used different versions/ strains of stem and vein just like I take kratom. I also used a combo of at least 2 of akuamma, Incarvillea sinesis we call it IS, white willow bark, magnolia and either corydalis, kava, or skullcap for night.

like babel said, taper, taper, taper, it might be uncomfortable but it will make it easier. a full reset of 2-4 weeks is recommended. you do it when YOU are ready. I took off almost all of January and it was easier than I thought. once you put your mind to it, anything can be easy.

Take a little less every day and you'll quickly adjust. Try delaying your first serving of Kratom of the day. It will help if you can embrace feeling a bit uncomfortable for an extra hour, and just tell yourself that the discomfort is your body getting back into a better balance.

Drink lots of water, take extra showers just for the relaxing effect, make sure you do everything you can to get a good night's sleep.

I suggest that you carefully weigh everything you take, and keep a record of the amount and time in a notebook. Make it your journal. If you want to write down some thoughts and ideas, do so.

Stay positive; plenty of people been there, done that. ;)

Just get through one day of taking a bit less, get a good night's sleep, and pat yourself on the back in the morning. Success will lead to more success.

Hello Guys, I hope everyone is having a great day, i'm new to the forum and would like to say hello. I first started taking kratom about 2 years ago. I started with a few grams every couple of days and now we fast forward to 30-45 grams per day mixed with OJ. Im worried that this might be too much. I tried not taking it one day and it felt just like or worst than opiate withdraws, sweats, cold, stomach problems ect.. I wonder if anyone has experienced the same problem. I would like to somehow taper down and take a break for a while, any one has any experience with this , any info would help because at this point im spending a lot of money, drinking lot of orange juice in addition to a high tolerance to Kratom. By the way, I take Red Vein powder form.
