One more thing I’d like to add...

if your ready , you can do anything, remember to be very kind to yourself and take great care when/if you decide to stop taking Prozac,

Much respect and wish you well on all your journeys :) (L)

I was on mirtazipine for over a year, it’s an atypical antidepressant med... I can’t give any info as far as Prozac goes but I was so ready to get off this med( because I Found Kratom) that I quit cold turkey ... which I can’t really recommend because of the worst kind of withdrawal I’ve ever experienced. Definitely taking to your doc is a good idea , but also if you decide to move forward with stopping , I’d wean off of it versus cold turkey, I think this might be the wiser route .
Withdrawal for me kicked in day 3 and lasted intensely for 4 days and then tapered effects at about two weeks.

I don’t regret getting off my meds and I haven’t fallen into depression since , thanks to Kratom
I am now med free and Kratom strong ...

Meds are crazy strong so I’d say talk to doc, do plenty of research and prep for the detox journey

This is something you need to discuss with a doctor. Not the kratom part but on reducing your Prozac. I know others here have gotten off of their anti-depressants. I am weaning off of Zoloft with the help of Kratom. I am not mentioning using Kratom to the doctor though. I cut back my zoloft by 50 mg a month ago. After a couple of weeks I started feeling deeply depressed in the morning before taking Kratom. Now I don't feel that anymore so I think that was part of adjusting to the lower dose. I am not going to cut back again for a bit and I will stay at my current dose for another month.

My next step is to cut back another 25 mg and see how it goes.

When it comes to these meds it is important to understand that you probably won't feel any difference for at least a couple weeks to a month after cutting back. It takes a few weeks for these meds to work when you start so it also takes a few weeks to feel the impact of a change in dose.

I have questioned my zoloft for quite a while. But I didn't want to take the risk of switching to another anti-depressant. I tried a couple others in the past and they made my anxiety worse, so I haven't wanted to risk it.

Now that I have found Kratom I have hope that I can dump the Zoloft for good. I think doctors find it easier to just keep giving you the meds than to make a change or deal with the withdrawal part of getting off of them.

I've been on Prozac for the Past 12 + Years. I can't seem to see any Difference when I take it & when I miss a few days. Does anybody know if it would hard to Wean Totally off of Prozac. Would I have Bad Withdrawals? Should I just stay on it because I have been on it for so long?

It probably has changed my Brain Chemistry since I have been on it for so long. I have thought about taking something like Kanna but can't because I am taking Prozac which is an SSRI which would Interact with Kanna if I took it. I am not thinking of getting off Prozac right now. This is just a thought in the back of my mind.
