hey all! I was so excited to go to my annual today. lost some weight and overall feel better. succeeded in eliminating nsaids from my routine and been an official non smoker for almost a year and a half now.

my issue was my blood pressure. it was 142/94, that was after sitting. and its never been that high, even when I was smoking! been going to my primary for over a decade. I take the leaf of course, roughly 5 days a week usually twice a day, sometimes 3. other daily herbs are shilajit, chuchu bark, and akuamma. other botanicals I rotate in 2-3 times a week are Chinese skullcap, incarviella, gaba, and corydalis.

I realize none of us are doctors/ nurses but my list has gotten a bit big for process of elimination. and painful lol. other thing I will look into is my one pharmacy scipt. easy to blame them right? but I did start that in jan...ive heard the leaf and high blood pressure is rare. any input is appreciated. ill keep doing some research. and 4 months to reverse it before he puts me on a script

Michele,
I think bomalley has answered some previous questions about blood pressure.

My blood pressure is always higher at the doctor than it is when I measure it at home.
I guess I’m always anticipating bad news.

thank you don and rick! I feel like a big dope now...:pinch:

the only script I take for reflux is pantoprazole sod 40 mg. the sod is for sodium!!!!!  do I feel like a goof. did not know that meant sodium. messaged my doc I am discontinuing immediately. other than blood pressure it also can raise cholesterol and sugar in blood.

oh these darn pharmascripts. if I wasn't so stubborn he would have me on 3 other scipts by weeks end. but this sheep will bite you try to herd her. one of the many reasons I can relate to liz! and here I am ready to blame it on shilajit…

I hear ya don mine is always higher in his office, ill check it in the grocery store every now and again. I was in a research trial for pain med shot for osteoarthritis and the nurses always laughed that I was between 122-126 over 72-76 every damn time; they checked me 5 times every visit, once a month. and it was never that high.

"White coat hypertension, more commonly known as white coat syndrome, is a phenomenon in which people exhibit a blood pressure level above the normal range, in a clinical setting, though they do not exhibit it in other settings. It is believed that the phenomenon is due to anxiety experienced during a clinic visit."
