Kratom was the only effective cough suppressant. but no alkaloids to help congestion. Couldn't find any info on supplements that would help except lobelia and I wasn't comfortable enough with my research on it to give it a try. Then I finally as a last resort why not and a big duh saline spray.

My heart goes out to Liz. first its disheartening to continue to get UTI's as a woman it can make you feel in a way defeated. It no fault of her own she's probably in a loop where the antibiotics that cure it might also effect the body's balance of yeast and bacteria in the nether regions. Wishing Liz speedy recovery and a new butt hole for that doctor.

I hate that doctors are barely held accountable. They still get paid, the don't get fined for missing things like that, they have insurance to protect against malpractice, and its incredibly hard process to get their license pulled. They rarely discuss prevention they toss you medicine and escort you out of their office. Its not easy to change offices either, new patient appointments are rarely seen in less than a month or two.

Hey Nan, >:D:x
That's one heck of a URI you're fighting.
I usually get 1 sinus infection a season and it can take over a month for the meds to knock it out of me. But I don't remember getting one last year. Maybe the kratom has helped me build up a tolerance to getting them. :-?

I wish that was true for you so you wouldn't still be sick. >:D>:D

I can relate to you trusting doctors less and less.
Yesterday Liz got medicine for another UTI like she had a month ago.
This time she had all sorts of tests on kidneys and liver and a urine culture. 2 weeks later they posted the results that clearly showed she had a UTI. They didn't even call to let her know. We had to contact them and ask them to prescribe something for her. It was like they never read the results of the tests.
After the suffering she already went through with the doctors taking 2 years to find the tumor on her spine, I'm angry enough to go over to this Dr and tear him a new butthole.:angry::angry:

I had a really ugly upper respiratory thing going shortly after the ear ringing started. Been dealing with it for 5 weeks.
Doctors had me on 3 different decongestants, steroidal nasal spray, an inhaler(insane and useless) and she threw in a Zpack (Zithromax). I am sure I only suffered a loop of rebound symptoms.
I finally after almost throwing in the towel and almost going back to the doctor's office yesterday I bought cheap simple saline nose spray. After a day I sniffed in and felt a mucus bubble in my ear. Cheap safe saline spray is working to loosen the blockage in my ear. I am going to double down on the natural treatments
Buckwheat honey, apple cider vinegar, and oregano (orally) for now. The left ear buzzing has calmed down.
I trust the way doctor's do business less and less.

Thank you for the links Nan. >:D
Liz drinks cranberry juice every time she gets a UTI. :-bd
She also gets the "leak" issue with UTIs. Mostly when she sneezes during them.

She's feeling better today. She is out doing last minute shopping. I'm glad to be working. I hate shopping.

Keep us up to date on the fix(s) for your Tinnitus. :-?

Hmmmm
Dentist?

I don't mean to scare you but a beautiful young woman (62), who always gave me hugs, passed in her sleep a few weeks ago after going to the dentist. Nobody knows the cause.

Definitely the dentist's fault. They practice torture and which-craft. I am never the same after a visit. :-?

I have given in and currently waiting for my doctors visit. I am hoping for some raging sinus ear infection so I can take my medicine like a big girl and get better. If I have to live with this buzzing it could at least have a rhythm or variation its boring me to death.

For Liz- Utis become chronic for some reason after you start getting one or two. Now that I am bladder leak challenged by violent coughing(feminine leak protection not fun but needed) /I have been looking up some prevention ideas.

(spam detector will not let me post links)

Seems like vita C, cranberry extract supplements and lots of water are key.

Get well and stay healthy everyone

Nan,
I'm doing pretty good. Was even able to have Tuesday and Wednesday as KF days because of no headache. Liz also wanted me to do it to see if the kratom was causing me to be angrier than normal.
She and I didn't notice any difference until I stopped watching the news. :woohoo::lol:

She has another UTI so she is sick but not letting it keep her down. Our daughter and grand daughters have the B flu so Liz is over their house taking care of them today. She will probably get us both sick with that.

Some of that Tinnitus is likely due to all that rock and roll music you mentioned.
Especially that Phil Collins character.
I'm sure a lot of my tinnitus is due to rocking out at sound levels that we should never listen to music at. :(

Dentist?

I wouldn't worry though, I'm sure that is a very rare event. :-?
Seriously I'm just teasing to try and cheer you up with my odd sense of humor. :cheer:

One website I went to listed the following as causes of tinnitus:

Hearing loss (though not everyone with tinnitus has a hearing issue)
Exposure to loud noise
Ear disease
Ear or sinus infections
Ear, neck and head injuries
TMJ disorders
Earwax build up
Hormonal imbalances in women
Cardiovascular disease
Thyroid disorders
Some medications, including (but not limited to) antibiotics, antidepressants, diuretics, cancer medications, and very high doses of aspirin

I never knew there were so many things that could cause it.

Tonight I'm going to try the ear moving thing that lady shows on the video that helps her. I'm curious to see what it does.

Thank you for sharing and being there for all of us.

How are you and Liz doing. Don been missing you (don't tell liz):x

Buzz, Bizz, buuzzzz, bizzzzzzzzzzzz, bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I already know I have suffered hearing damage, first generation walk man user here. I work in a loud environment. Traffic noises, construction, street preacher, shred-it trucks, police sirens.
I am trying to trace the recent cause to help focus on what might help. When reading there is no cure for tinnitus on the internet what a panic of fear this might not go away.
I had tension stress headaches behind my eyes in the sinus area after my uncle's funeral. One time I felt I might pass out. I think although I have zero history of high blood pressure stress might have spiked it. The wet cold weather change has me physical challenged.
It started constant after my dentist appointment, hmmmmm. I have just developed a chest cough. I am hoping a perfect storm of events is the cause so I can have a little hope it will go away. I have upped my vitamin C a lot and added electrolytes. If I put my palms over my head and put pressure on my ears when I release the buzzing stops for 30 seconds. I am trying two physical techniques I found on YouTube, stops the buzzing but only briefly,
I will have to see if the chest congestion clears maybe it will stop.
Serrapeptase is there also to try if needed.
