KRATOM CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT PASSES UTAH HOUSE AND MOVES TO GOVERNOR FOR SIGNATURE

The American Kratom Association just received the exciting news from our lobbyist team that the Utah House of Representatives voted today to join the Utah Senate in passing the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. This landmark legislation will now go to the Utah Governor for signature.

Utah will become the first state to establish the correct regulatory framework for protecting consumers from dangerous adulterated kratom products and, at the same time, protect the freedom of Utah consumers to make their own choices on the use of natural products for their health and well-being.

The Kratom Consumer Protection Act sends a strong signal to the FDA and DEA that states can appropriately regulate kratom without banning it outright, and empowers individual consumers with the information they need to make informed decisions on using kratom products.

The AKA is grateful to the Utah State Legislature, and to Senator Curt Bramble for his courageous leadership in fighting for every kratom consumer.

We would also like to thank all the kratom supporters in Utah who wrote their legislators and attended public hearings. Your voice was heard!

Our hope is that this legislation will be the first step in implementing a regulatory framework that will protect kratom consumer across the country.

Sincerely,

Dave Herman, Chairman

What a highly intelligent thing to do !!! Great to here that Utah has done the right thing, they must truly believe in the constitution and people’s rights to use natural options that helps people in so many ways , im super stoked about this, now we just need the other states to catch up on this progressive movement ...it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see its value to stay safely accessible for those who get benefits from this great leaf,

Friggin awesome

Good job Utah

We are kinda like family, and we definitely need each-other if we are going to continue to fight off the Fed with their greedy sticky fingers. The fed can %*$*$% )$() #_$(#$ ....Awesome for Utah!!!

This is wonderful! I've been away from the forum for a bit (family visiting) and I will be writing my reps here in California to point out that Utah has it right.

Every day I get angrier and angrier. This government allowed cigarettes which are literally killing me, to remain legal. Tobacco is a killer of humans, and a killer of insects. Those are the only two uses it has - correct me if I'm wrong. The damage and hell cigarettes created was known in 1962 when I was born. And yet they remained legal. (Insert naughty word here.) But Kratom, the one thing I get relief from, is persecuted. I'm in a fine lather these days....off to write my letters...

Good to have you back, Kitsune! I finally got off the nicotine for good - 6 months!

Wishing you the same. Being monetarily dependent on the more corrupt deep pockets was nice to get FREE of.

Of course, we still have a battle ahead.

Gottlieb tweeted a personal attack over the weekend. That’s first I’ve seen him turn it completely personal.

Highly unprofessional TO SAY THE LEAST.
