B-) I have 2 plants that I have been growing for about 2 months.
A rifat and a bumblebee strain.
I started both plants with miracle gro garden soil.
I went to wal-mart and got the soil, potters, and miracle gro liquid for plants.
I got the biggest plastic pots I could find.
They were around 12.00
I live in New Jersey which only has a few months of the years in which temps are ideal.
anything under about 50 degrees will kill them.
This time of year is perfect.
It is about 80-90 in July and August.
I started them in May of this year.
They like high humidity and I keep them in direct morning sunlight and indirect afternoon sun.
I mist them in the morning and at night.
thanks for reading.

That's cool, I love to grow anything and everything. I ordered a kratom plant a few years back, it came with two leaves, and they both fell off within 2 weeks. I don't think it was very healthy to begin with. As long as you give it enough light 18 to 20 hours, and keep it moist, but not soaked, you should be good to go. If it gets bigger, just put it in a little bit bigger pot.

It's going to have to stay smallish and indoors for the foreseeable future, I'm in California but in a studio apartment. Hopefully I'll figure out how to make it happy and if I get a house at some point some day I'd like to let it get big. =)

Will you be planting it outside? What state or planting zone do you live in?

Hello. I'm new here. Is there a section where I could post questions about growing a kratom tree? I don't know where on this forum I would put that kind of question. I'm bad at gardening but I like it anyway so I got a little plant. It looks a tad splotchy and unhappy. I just got it and it came this way. I've done a lot of reading about kratom care but like I said, I'm bad at gardening... ... :-?
