Yep, this is/has happened to me. I am planning on giving up the K after Thanksgiving. I have also had weight loss/muscle loss. My recent blood work was good.

I received my test results back, and they were negative for hormone replacement and negative for thyroid. My vitamin D was also normal, so the Doc suggested that I should stop using Kratom. I've been taking Biotin and Vitamin D, and my hair has slowly but surely come back to life. I too think it was the Kratom that caused my hair loss. It could have been the quantity I was taking.

I hope you’ll both come back to report your experiences from not using the leaf. Almost seems like a rare but horrific allergy. I’m glad your hair is returning!

I think we already said the dr will blame kratom. May as well start there and eliminate more dietary items if the problem remains.

Please please come back in 6 months with results from quitting kratom. How will you manage pain? Or the health conditions you were using it for?

I read one of you mention weight loss. I have to say that I've recently lost fourty pounds and had hair loss. The doctor put me on the actual vitamins pregnant women take and my hair has come back thicker and Fuller than ever.
Should also mention that I have not begun Kratom yet. Those vitamins can be expensive, but I love my long hair and they are so worth it!

DeAnna,

You’re an impressive person. I have no worries that you will be happier and healthier and you’ll begin to notice it right away.

I totally know how DONE you need to be to do this. Your attitude will serve you well!

Thank you. I really am so over opiates ruling my life. I did have to take a quarter of a pill because my order hasn't arrived yet. But I am sure I've weaned myself enough to just put away the Suboxone when it arrives and not look back. I feel confident that I have enough samples coming that I will find the right one and the correct dosage. The only option is to make it work in my mind.
Yesterday I tried to post an introduction, but I wasn't able to so I'll try again today.
In short, my son is addicted to heroin and I'm trying this for me, but also for him to see that it can be done.
I so appreciate the words of encouragement. It means more than you know.

That’s how I saved my Mom.

Attraction not Promotion

She relapsed in Oct. Today is her first day clean and she’s FINE at 76!! I have needed the bathroom more than she has, and I slept longer than she did!

Ha!

Very cool, DeAnna.

I was a judgmental as$ face a few times. Don’t recommend it. LOL

Laurie wrote: Also, I’m curious about how kratom might affect the immune system. I haven’t read up on the leaf in depth recently. Was it something you read here? Or elsewhere?!

The good news from my end is my hair looks better! But. I take a vitamin powder supplement daily that actually slows the gray from taking over. Now I can go 6 weeks between coloring. That helps a lot! Before the vitamin powder, I barely made it 3 weeks!

Please, what is this vitamin powder your taking?! I'm 30 and the gray is already taking over!

Hi Noel,

I’m not ignoring this request. Just busy driving bf family gift deliveries.

And I’m not sure I’m comfortable putting non-kratom related “marketing material” on the forum.

Chewing on how to suggest it without violating rules.

I’ll post later....hang in there!
