Newbie on the east coast.
I have struggled with chronic pain for almost 40 years and need a solution that isn't an opioid. Was on lyrica for 6 months and it helped a lot but I gained 30 pounds because of it so I no longer take it.
My Grandkids say I’m a cuckoo head. ;)

Welcome Tiger, this is a great Forum to learn about Kratom. I use it for Crohn’s Disease pain as well as mood boost for depression.

A lot of great vendors can be found in the Forum index under Find a vendor/ Rate a vendor

Welcome to the best kratom forum ever, Tiggermanscrat!

You’ll find gobs of helpful information here.

For keyword questions in between discussions, the SEARCH field in the column above is handy for researching your new adventure.

Kratom is a Botanical plant product and nothing like pharmaceuticals. It’s not a quick fix, but you sound like a perfect candidate to benefit from the leaf.

It’s not as complicated as it looks at first.

Dive in by ordering yourself a sample package from one of the ILK TRUSTED AND APPROVED VENDORS because you’ll want to have some leaf on hand to try as you read.

Chronic pain can not be “solved” in my experience. There are no “solutions” with the leaf. Managing pain for quality of life is doable. Solving usually requires more drastic lifestyle changes.

We are all still trying to learn how to manage our health and perhaps get better!

Welcome!
Laurie

Welcome T,
Kratom is a great alternative. It has a learning curve but once you find success you realize function and quality life are achievable.
I will link the guide, a kratom 101
www.ilovekratom.com/forum/kratom-discuss...-oldies#.XHhhzohKiUn

Ask any questions you need and if you want to get started you found a great forum that will help.

I take kratom to manage spinal arthritis twice a day fairly lower doses. I find kratom an excellent anti inflammatory, aches and pain reliever, stress and anxiety crusher.

I also learned of other botanical that help with pain. Pharmaceuticals don't have the answer to chronic pain they are many herbs that help that your doctor will never say anything about or they have no idea.

East coast here also. :-h

So glad you found us!

I take Kratom daily for chronic back pain. As Laurie has already said, Kratom does not cure chronic pain so depending on what your tissue issues are (and it looks like you have had it for a long time), root causes need to be adressed in ofdr to get really good reesults for chronic pain.

For my back pain it was alignment, movement, and strength and stretch....all of which was helpful (along with oxycodone) over a 5 year period. NOW I am off the oxy and use the leaf for daily pain control so I can keep moving!

Here's to hoping that you find what you need in the leaf!
