I've been addicted to opiates multiple times. Coming off them each and every time was pure hell. I've been a Kratom User for 12 months now and was nervous about withdrawals. I stopped taking Kratom for 36 hours recently and all I noticed was a little edginess. Big increase in appetite too. It was in no way like what opiates were like when stopping. My dosage for the year has been 1.75 tablespoons at 8 am and another equal dose at 4 pm. I am thinking of tapering but really don't know if I'm taking a lot or a little. Comments?

Welcome to the best kratom forum ever, swfl dreaming!

Congratulations! On your multiple accomplishments!

I use stem n vein as a kratom powder replacement for weaning. But I have more nuisance symptoms than you do, so far. Night sweating (sometimes, not each time I’ve stopped. Could be premenopausal) and just feeling “off” for about the first 36 hours. Then I’m suddenly fine - except in pain and/or susceptible to noticing little pains I wasn’t bothered by while using kratom.

I would seriously consider not doing ANYTHING at this point because you’re already past the discomfort timeframe, in my experience. It gets less noticeable each day from here.

But that’s just my opinion and we all have different experiences with quitting the leaf.

Like you, it’s EXTREMELY MILD and hardly noticeable compared to our opiate quitting experiences! No kidding!

EDIT: sorry spellcheck changed your name to “awful” in my welcome post! :-O

hey dreaming! :-h

glad to have you here. if it works for you and you rotate strains/ companies I think youre good. everyone has a different tolerance. my hubby got off suboxone thanks to k and yes his doses are a bit high but its better than other stuff. and frankly hes built like a bear. ive never been able to take 'normal' opiates but I still average 3.5-6 grams depending on strength, what im taking and company. only been doing this about 3 months so still getting used to my legs so to speak. but if I cant take opiates, any nsaids and just acedomeniphen wasn't doing crap. a lot of us are here out of some kind of desperation.

anyways im rambling. if you need suggestions on additional supplements for pain, anti inflamitory or anxiety a lot of people have helped steer me in the right direction here. done wonders.
