Wow! Thanks for the quick replies! Yea, I'm always looking for guinea pigs for my salves and other concoctions... Let me know how to get it to you. I don't remember anything about sharing addresses in the "You Can/You can't"s, but then I just skimmed thru it. I've built up a nice little clientele in the past six months that I've been making them. Initially I gave it away, just because I enjoyed making, researching, etc, plus I'm a firm believer in "NOBODY should have to live in pain. NOBODY!" But that started to get a little expensive when all of a sudden I had more than just one or two people wanting it. The kratum salve is by far the most requested salve I make, although I make a cannabis salve that works great on psoriasis so I'm told. And the kratum salve recipe is always being changed when I run into any new tidbit of information about things that might work. I just made a batch with aloe vera in it today. It's the first time I've used it and I'm going to keep that ingredient, it makes the salve less oily, more like a cream or lotion.

I do have another question for anybody out there who might have direct experience with this... is kratum a blood thinner? I've read yes, I've red no. My husband is on coumaden, a blood thinner. He uses the kratum salve nightly and sometimes will take a capsule with kratum in it at bedtime. He's been doing this for about 3 months now and everytime he's had his blood levels checked they've been spot on. Has anybody here had an issue with it actually thinning your blood to the point of having a medical problem? I'd really like to know.

Welcome to the best kratom forum ever, LadyGoodWrench!

An unapproved vendor friend has a “balm” he is having good response from. But he didn’t CREATE it.

I haven’t tried it. I don’t have anything that requires topical pain relief.

I know Inland Botanicals IS approved on this forum and Gina there has been making an entire line of products while working to get their retail botanical store grand opening going.

I have a friend locally who makes her own with hemp to CBD and it’s been effective for her wife for knee replacement surgery pain!

Let’s see what other people here know...

Hi, I'm new to this forum and look forward to input from you guys and gals. I'm a disabled automobile mechanic with bad knees and back. I was told 30 years ago I'm going to be in a wheel chair by the time I hit 50. I'm 65, no wheel chair. I did the pain pill gig for a short period of time, being a zombie is something I'll leave up to those who enjoy that kind of thing. So I'm always on the look out for anything to chip away at the pain levels. A few months back I started making salves, one of which is a salve made with cannabis, for pain. I didn't get much relief from it although samples I gave to friends who also have pain were well received by them as they got pain relief from it. I eventually made a salve with kratum. Wow! What a great thing it turned out to be. Immediate relief, no dealing with that TASTE, relatively inexpensive to make compared to the cannabis salve, and convenient to carry with you and use whenever needed. My question is, have any of you heard of or used a salve made from kratum? I'm kinda flying blind making this stuff, just going by what I've read about making salves, what has worked for me with other salves, etc. I'd like to make this the optimum combination of ingredients and would like any feedback I can get as to what, if any other kratum salves are made with. Anything to chip away at the pain levels, right? Thanks for your input!
