Hi, I'm Jamie and I have a ton of issues that the medical community has tried to appease with drug after drug, only to leave me with an addiction to the relief that the prescribed opiates gave. The law changed in my state and I couldn't get those prescriptions anymore. I've been on Subutex (am not preggers, but the naloxone messed with my intracranial hypertension, which gave me more headaches then I normally get with my condition) and I'm tired of being on a maintenance Medicine. I started weaning off my medicine and throughout the past month I have weaned, I've tried a few vendors and found kratom to make it so I can't even tell I'm detoxing. I may be in the early stages but I'm truly hoping this medicine can help my pain levels, and my anxiety. Which both of those get very high. In any case, that's me, and I'm here to learn. Whatcha got to teach me? Also would love any recommendations for strong strains for withdrawal and pain for day and nighttime. No jumpy strains, ms.anxiety doesn't like that. :P Thanks for having this platform available, ILK. Have been learning from y'all for a little while now. Great community it seems.

Welcome. Your story is one that has been told over and over again. I'm sure you'll find success with it, just continue to seek help. First thing to note is that kratom can be abused too, so moderation and consistency is key. To keep tolerance down, it is important to rotate a bit and a few other things like hirsuta and akuamma could help as well.

Based on you coming down I would recommend a good green tamiang, red borneo, or gold aceh. Each has its perks, but all have been know to help overcome addictions. I would steer clear of whites unless you intent to mix them with a red. I could recommend vendors, but there is a section for that, feel free to pm me.

Welcome aboard, Jamie! Very memorable arrival as Purdue starts getting some accountability for their part in the current state of zombie-land.

Thanks for reading up a bit on the plant some. You’ll enjoy more success with a bit of education under the belt and a lot of good information got censored from the US internet fairly recently, so it’s good that you found this bunch.

Everyone here is supportive and helpful or could use some support and help.

What strains have you already tried? Helpful suggestions can only be provided if we sort of have some idea what you’ve tried and enjoyed/not enjoyed.

I’m also leery of white strains for anxiety reasons, but sometimes white strains are very relaxing. For me. I rarely give them a chance but I get happily surprised sometimes when I venture outside of my “reliable” strains.

Congratulations on your progress so far!! No joke! Getting started is the scariest part (unfounded but nobody believes that until they've survived it).

Life will continue to improve as you go! That’s a lot to look forward to! I used to just try to survive the day. Now I actually look forward to tomorrow, often.

Kratom is incredibly helpful for my depression, chronic pain and addiction deterrent. I’m still learning how to use an addict brain and it’s challenging, but rewarding enough to keep trying and I am not ALWAYS in pain.

Some days suck still. But I figure I’ll try to do it right if I’m lucky enough to wake up tomorrow.

I’m just babbling and have no idea if any of this is helpful for you.

But there’s a bunch of cool people here to help answer your questions.
Laurie

Hello oddblond7..... !!,:) looks like I’m one of the first to welcome you .. “ welcome “ >:D

Kratom is nothing less than a miraculous herbal tool that has turned the life I was leading ... into a quality one in which I look forward to actually waking up and not being miserable with my chronic pain, depression and anxiety...

Kratom helps me smile, helps lower my pain , works tremendously well, and therefore also helps with my other ailments ... for me they’re all connected ...

Hope to see you here more , ask all the questions to your hearts content , most likely someone can help find some info, give tips , and perhaps even answer your question and then some !!!

Hahaha,

Take care

Welcome to the forum. Happy to hear about your success so far.
Here are some quick tips-
Make sure you have enough kratom on hand to fully detox.
Stay hydrated.
Stay on top of any digestion issues.
I am someone who likes to weigh all my doses so I have a scale.
I use turmeric daily to help with tolerance.

I personally like Green Strains during the day for pain management and anxiety relief. Green Malay, Green Borneo but this is subjective to each individual.
Reds I like for night time pain relief
Red Borneo, Red Hulu, Red thai.
I really like Yellow Borneo from Pa botanicals it seems to cover all my issues when ever I take it.

Keep up the good fight and check out or ask us about other botnacials when you are comfortable, I am currently working on healing tendinitis with supplements I had been advised about from this forum. I am forever grateful.

I’m just babbling and have no idea if any of this is helpful for you.

Hi Laurie :-h Hope you are feeling well, I got a laugh about your mom and her pup sharing the same condition. Hope they are both managing well.:silly:
Babbling has led to some of the best most informative posts on this forum.

Wow thank you for the warm welcome so far! Oh Laurie you're right! I didn't say what I tried yet, although the first several kinds I had, I "capped" and I think I didn't take enough also. I never did notice much difference but this was also when my Subutex dose may have been blocking the effects since it was higher at first. So although I've had red Borneo, green Malay, super Indo, and a couple others, I feel I didn't get a full chance. Plus I didn't know about orange juice and the like yet. But I've successfully tried chocolate from Kat's botanicals which has a STRONG aroma but it helps me relax, and some green maeng da and white Jong Kong from them. I also tried oties red maeng da and their tincture (that tincture was a godsend! The orange zskittles) and that was the best I've had so far to be honest. And I have noticed whites alone are a no-go so I do mix it with a red as I've read about that. I also do take turmeric/curcumin everyday at least a half hour before my dose. I actually started this journey with just supplements since I was on a mission to find lots of natural things to help control my cerebral-spinal fluid levels. I found some natural dietetics, and tumeric curcumin was also helpful in that regard so it's great it helps with kratom. I learned that here already though! So I take tons of supplements and wanted to add another. I wanted to enhance the smoothie blend aspect of my daily dosage and searched "green powders that improve your life" or something to that effect and came to kratom. Now I had tried it 1-2 years ago when I wanted to get off my medicine before, only I ordered from a wicked and their stuff didn't make me want to even try. I felt nothing, and I also had multiple (and yes I know, hilarious) fails at T&W ending up being a geyser of powder from my face. So it was a big turn off but now I've got more will power, and I've gotten better at researching to find out the scoop on what's best. I am so glad I came across this site. Facebook is only so good because as I've seen in another post here, I have become another lucky person getting friend requests from Indonesian single man bands trying to play me the fiddle. I am no dumb blonde. My screen name has been the same since high school, it's just easy to remember. I'm a tough raised in the city, living in the country kind of gal who doesn't take bull. But I'm sweet as anything with those I care about.

Okay Laurie I think I win at rambling! ;)
Talking about Facebook will make anyone get off track, my point is, there is a lot of mis information out there and I'm so glad this community is here to combat it. I mean, I've already informed a lot of people that shilajit is not something you're supposed to "feel" something off of. I saw an entire comment section asking about the sedative properties of it. Just one Google search will tell you what it is. And Google is awful!
Anyway, I really need a dose so I can focus because I'm all over the place but I wanted to cover all the bases of me and my silly thoughts and how much I appreciate all of your input, I have been heading some of it, and am implementing the rest this week. (Like having more on hand, I'm almost out!) But I'm giving tea time botanicals and herbal salvation a try. Am thinking either inland or pharmacy or pa botanicals next batch. And I did order pretty much all the strains you guys recommended. I have a feeling the "Hulu" is going to be a good one for me, comes highly recommended for my situation. Okay, rambling again, thanks so much again guys, I'm just excited to be a part of this! You all seem so supportive. >:D

Love hearing your adventures so far! Sounds like you’re right in the pack with the rest of us. Some of this is trial n error and even a win does not last forever.

I have nothing to add except keep us posted because you are not doing anything obviously wrong that requires attention! I am! I have some dogs to interview with and I’m online! :O
