Hi everyone,

Now that we have become an approved ILK vendor we would like to formally introduce our company to ILK forum users!

Sakti Botanicals is a small company based in Asheville, NC. We have focused on local wholesale for the last year and we have slowly transitioned into the world of online sales!

The Idea of Sakti Botanicals started while living in Bali, Indonesia. It was there that I was first introduced to the amazing plant we know as kratom. We are one of the few companies that travel to Indonesia frequently. This opportunity has brought amazing insight into the reality of Kratom production in Borneo. All of our Kratom is literally sourced from a “Kratom Jungle” in a remote region of western Borneo known by the locals as “Sakti Hutan” meaning “Sacred Forest”. This is believed to be a very sacred and ancient source of Kratom by the local elders.

A lot of customers have asked us why we don't carry all of the popular strains.

This is because part of our mission is full transparency. The reality is that there is really only one type of Kratom tree in Borneo and there are 3 main drying/curing techniques.
Even though we understand that this goes against popular opinion we feel the need, to be honest with our customers. However, our Kratom is “Maeng Da” quality which simply means the best stuff in Thai. We also have plans to launch a Thai landrace collection in the near future.

Our quality is consistent because:

1. Our harvesters produce a small amount of kratom a month compared to plantation operations. This helps reduce the risk of contamination.

2. The three curing processes are always the same

3. The kratom is always readily available in the jungle.

4. Most vendors go through middlemen that buy kratom from a variety of farmers around Indonesia. This means inconsistent batches and not knowing if it was produced and processed in a clean environment or if pesticides were used. All of our Kratom is coming straight from the people that harvest and process our kratom. No middlemen. This means consistent quality, fair trade and great prices for our customers!

Part of our mission as a company is to bring more research-based facts into the industry. We will be traveling to Borneo in a few months to research how PH and mineral levels in the soil affect alkaloid levels.

Check out our latest blog post for more information about our story!
