I agree with Todd_B!

Loving your monarch release! I’m in a migratory/breeding area as well and people have noticed MANY MORE in the past 3 years as well.

Neighbors are also growing milkweed and monarchs in several neighborhoods. Of course, that’s a big controversial issue, but there are SO MANY issues to argue about right now, with the globe in a state of calming chaos. Etc.

Todd_B is right. I have benefited immensely as well, but I have chronic, lower level issues. Nothing like you. But kratom is amazing at helping so many types of health issues!

Thank you for raising another monarch for the world to enjoy!

Hi Todd_B,

I owe it mostly to Kratom. Without it I'd be in bed 24 hr. a day. Kratom is incredible!

Rpitts-

Are you familiar with Paul Stamets? The mushroom guru ? Highly recommend the movie / documentary “Fantastic Fungi”, there’s a moment in the movie where Paul’s 90+ yo mother had used ( in conjunction with chemistry I believe ) turkey tail mushroom extract. She was in stage 4 of her illness with breast cancer , after a regimen of this mushroom , she came back to the docs completely free from cancer . There’s also a TedTalk on this ...

I’ll just say that I’m a major believer in the healing qualities of mushrooms , another gift from Mother Nature to keep us healthy and strong .

So perhaps there was another route than what your brother went through , I’m sorry your brother had to go through that , I hope he’s feeling better and in the process of full recovery.

* Michele mentioned Akuamma from “organic elements online” , quality source for this herb, a great addition to kratom , def take in capsule form, whether pre capped or you capping the ground seed your self , once you taste this herb, you’ll never forget it and know why capsules is best for most lol
Life is better with kratom !

The 420 mgs a day was prior to my surgery in Germany. Today I would probably just have to suffer because pain doctors are so much more strict about prescribing opiates today than they were 10 years ago. The surgeons in the US didn't want to touch my spine. One guy, the "best" in LA, actually said "I wouldn't touch you with someone elses scalpel!" But the Germans did really well with what they had to work with. I will try to go back for a followup surgery as soon as we can travel to Europe again. What kind of surgery did you have in Mexico and where? My brother just had six weeks of chemo/radiation for throat cancer and the treatment nearly killed him. I wonder if there was a safer/better alternative somewhere else?

Hi Laurie!
If you do try pineapple/bromelain please let me know how/if it works for you. I thought about you while releasing a monarch butterfly in my backyard a few minutes ago. I live along the migratory/breeding route they take and have been trying to re-introduce milkweed into my yard. This year I've seen the most butterflies in the yard since I started 3 years ago.
Keeping my mind occupied with something other than my own troubles is also effective against pain.

I guess you noticed you are, indeed, posting in a thread, rpitts1955. Anyone on the internet can see these. That’s the best part of your telling your story here. Gooble searches pick these posts up fairly often, so you are probably helping someone gain hope and maybe try pineapple while deciding what else they might want to look into..
I’ve not had the pleasure of western medicine being supportive of kratom and many pain patients get kicked out of pain clinics for using it either with their program, or instead, or while waiting to receive help...that shows how much they care! Like you said, they simply have no freaking concept of pain from personal experience! I hadn’t really processed that accurate portrayal until you mentioned it.
Lots of journeys in this thread. Like a reader’s digest version of the books many of us should write!

yes you are so right in so mny ways. the pain/ helping and coping with it sounds interesting! funny how so many of us do it/ try and cope.

funny with your doc on liver. i figured the crutch of alcohol was worse for my liver than kratom. now i can count on one hand on average how often i drink. doesnt mix well with kratom for me. so no. i pick kratom.

and yes the PF in my feet has gotten worse. tried special socks, compression, constant stretching, expensive shoes and insoles, you name it. had it for almost 20 yrs. now i get cortizone every 3-4 months, but been doing that for a couple yrs. i use water bottles and freeze them and roll them back and forth. therapy and relief! till tomorrow. even tried those stretch pin to the calf.

and you are right about a purpose. thats for sure!

youll like akuamma. organic elements is the place that comes to mind for buying the caps pre- made if you dont want to go through the hassle.

One of my older Doctors was cool with it but he retired. The one I'm seeing now says it's bad, has lots of harmful affects on the liver, etc. But he does understand why I take it.

Hey Michele,
Thanks for the akuamma info. I'll give it a try. I've found that having a job or a purpose, or just something you love to do and to be able to keep doing it every day makes life a lot more interesting, and living that life with pain more tolerable. I've been dealing with pain most of my life, and it's gotten worse. But I've kept trying all sorts of natural pain killers to take the place of opiates. That's why I'd like to do a book, more like a reference book of all the different things to try to deal with pain. I spent time in S. Korea learning how Buddhist there deal with pain, and learned a lot of things to try that doctors would never prescribe. I'm putting together a webpage with all the info at this point. If it ever turns into a book that'd be great, but mostly I just want to get as much info out to people dealing with pain as I can. An example, I replaced NSAIDs with Bromelain and papain. It's made from pineapple and it really helps me with inflammation. A quick way to try it is buy a fresh pineapple and just eat a few oz every 4 or 5 hours, over a few days. You'll know by day 2 or 3 if will help you. If it does you can buy Bromelain/Papin in capsule form. I take 4 caps 2x every day. I like Nature's Life brand, 250 mg. But there are many others.
It is so hard to find a pain Dr. who can even "truly" understand pain. Most of them are just out of med school, young and healthy, and don't have any idea what living day after day in chronic pain does to a person. I've been lucky to find some really compassionate doctors over the years. Though one of my most unpleasant Physicians Assistant in a pain clinic told me about the Bromelain. Go figure, but I stopped taking ibuprofen, 8 pills a day!, soon after i started Bromelain. Anyway, there are just so many things out there to try that work without screwing up your body.
Sorry to hear about the osteoarthritis. I have that in my spine too. It is no fun. Plantar fasciatis is in your feet, isn't it? My wife has that and she got some Grafity Defyer shoes that really helped. Just a thought. Thanks for telling me about the Cambodian white! I'll have to try it. I do use Red Bali to help me sleep, but haven't tried Cambodian. There are so many strains! I mix white, yellow and red maeng da in the morning and that works for me. Around lunch I take 1.5 tspn of Green Riau for a mood/pain boost, then I do the white, yellow and red maeng da again, sometimes twice to get through the rest of the day. Then Red Bali to sleep, and do it all over again the next day.
Best of luck to you and your husband. Going through pain is a lot easier with someone you love :-)
