I think we have a winning answer for the original "Kratom Color" question posted by TimeDriver!

Kratom is such a cool riddle! .... Solved! :-P

I'm gonna try to have no bias regarding color, but then if I notice a color I like more maybe I'll decide I'm into red, green, or both. I thought I was a Red only girl, but why limit myself when I haven't tried a green yet. I sent a green strain to my bro, and he'll let me know how he likes it comparted to Red.

Kratom and the difference in effects for diff folks never ceases to amaze me,

I have had some very potent darker colored kratom , but on the majority , with my chemistry, I get more potent effects (in general) with the bright and deeper green colored leaf ... but boy howdy, some very memorable and special reds I’ve had the honor to try ...

I’m primarily green “types” fan , but love Amy exceptional red , white , bentuangie , gold , yellow ... etc .... great kratom is great kratom , some batches are just exceptional and work better based on our unique make up... also time of year , tolerance ....age of leaf at harvest ... drying method ... and so on

Kratom is such a cool riddle , :)

* welcome to the ILK family timedriver , i think there’s many ways suppliers and vendors label a “strain” ... I’m mostly into the effects no matter the color , and tend to personally go by that defining criteria .... kratom is a trip , and stoked I have a ticket to ride (L)
Life is better with kratom !

So glad you brought this up Time Driver. I had the same question because I have brown and green Red strains.

I did an extensive search on Reddit and everywhere, and there were lots of opinions. The vast majority believe green Red strains are better than brown Red strains. But I'm sure there are exceptions to this rule. A lot mentioned an inferior drying process, freshness and a few other theories.

In my own experience, I have two green Red strains and one brown Red strain. One green Red is the best. The other green Red is a little too much of a daytime stimulating Red for my taste. The brown Red was just ok so I gave it away.

But like Liv and Little Bear say, you've got to try them to be sure. A few vendors offer free returns, so I stick with buying from them because this leaf really varies in so many ways. I'm not rich enough to risk being stuck with duds I can't use.

Happy Leafing

Not an expert on Kratom, but I think the best test would be to try it. I am pretty sure all Kratom has green leaves, the color describes the veins. But I am guessing. When I dry herbs at home, they are usually pretty green, but over time they darken.

Fairly new to using kratom. I've been using a wholesale vender for the last month with good results. I have been using Maeng Da red which has a brownish and red color. The last order I received was green and was concerned that I received the wrong order even though it was labeled red.I talked with the vender and he said that depending on age or batch it can still have a green color. They seem to have a good reputation and have strict guidelines for testing and what not. Golden Monk is the vender, and also this is my first post...Thanx for viewing. By the way they also said that I could return it with a credit or refund if I still were not convinced.
