Can anyone recommend a site to buy an actual kratom plant?

I've bought one from phytoextractum before but found it very difficult to keep alive. It grew for a while but eventually died off. Go ahead and try though there are some things I could have done differently. A greenhouse would be your best bet with peat moss (sunshine mix).. I didn't have either of those at the time but may try again at a later date.

To quote my own response on a similar post,

I have tried growing a Kratom plant before but in the southeast climate of the United States it is unrelenting and near impossible. It would take an incredible amount of time to grow a significant sized plant, and even more so a tree. No harm in trying, just a forewarning it won't be easy or cheap, and will be very time consuming if success is at all possible in your climate. It is very picky about where it grows and the U.S. isn't one of them. That's not to say it can't be done though.

Phytoextractum has good Kratom, I was not aware they sold live plants. My experience, though I forget where it was from as it was more than half a decade ago was pretty much the same as yours cybin_spores.

Nice! You got a lot further than I ever did. I think I got about 6 leaves total at its height before some pests started digging in. It's good to hear people are successfully growing Kratom. It is a long road of taking good care and attention but the end result around a decade later will be more than worth it! I believe I tried to grow a plant circa 2010... if I had succeeded imagine where it'd be now if things had gone right!

Granted you live in America, I personally thank you for beginning to contribute to a better America where Kratom trees may become part of the economy if this demonization ceases. Well, whichever country you reside, thank you for introducing a foreign plant to a non-indigenous habitat.

yup, i agree with everything your saying. As far as pests go, when i initially got the tree in the mail.. after about 5 days i noticed it was getting ate up by something. I loaded a spray bottle with water and a small amount of dawn dishwashing soap, and so far it has fixed the problem.
