Wow, you guys are amazing.
Thank you for all the great ideas and tips.
I have decided I'd definitely like to try taking the Kratom in Tea form, because just like CuriousKrater, I have a sensitive tummy and I'm pretty sure anything that involves the leaf going straight into my stomach is going to give me irritation (especially doing the "toss & wash" method).
I might try capsules too, I'll have to experiment I guess.

I've been watching alot of Youtube videos and 99.9% of them are testimonials by people of all walks of life who speak on how Kratom saved them from their opiate addictions or chronic pain issues, so I'm very optimistic for this plant and it's possible benefits for my I.C (Interstitial Cystitis).

I found this one fella on Youtube, "Nerds Take On The World", who had a great video where he very clearly, simply showed step by step how best to brew the Kratom for tea (you guys are probably familiar with his video).
He was also in that Chris Bell documentary, "A Leaf Of Faith", which I was just watching this weekend.

I just pulled out my big three ring binder and it's going to be my "Kratom" Bible, I'm going to be studying and writing down everything I need to know about the different strains, their effects, etc.
I think once I start my "detox" it might be a good idea to keep a journal daily of what I take at each dosing,
how much/what strain/ how it effected me or didn't.

I want to thank you all again for being so helpful and supportive to me as a kratom "noob"
You guys are awesome! :x

hi desertgirl, i use the red vein capsules, they really help with my pain, and they help my mental attitude, i have scoliosis and degenerative disc disease well anyway my back is a train wreck, they want to do a quintuple lower back fusion on me, but i have been putting it off for years, i tried the green vein and it did not help me much with the pain, however everyone is different, so all i can say is to try them out and see wich one works best for you, kratom is great, and this is a great place to get help and support.....god bless.......catspaw1955

Hi Catspaw1955,
That must be very painful to have both the scoliosis and the degenerative disc disease. I'm glad I bought the Red vein then, if it can help with severe back degeneration pain, I have hope it will help me for my chronic pain issue as well.
Thank you ! :)

Probably better videos

but I figured out filling caps by hand , just scoop and pack both sides and push the gel caps together I can get almost 800mg in a cap and fill 30 to 40 capsules in half and hour (size 00). Its very messy. I also have a scale so I weighed my first few caps to get a better idea. I wanted to post a video because I gave my daughter (occasional kratom user for lupus flares)gel caps to have at work and she was trying to fill the caps with a spoon and it took her at least three minute to fill one cap. I do not enjoy this process but its good to have caps around for travel and quick backup when not at home.

I fill my own in a similar fashion. I havent bought a machine because I use the 000 caps and most are for smaller caps. Plus I kinda like filling them. It's a quiet calming time for me.

I get a VERY CLOSE average of 1.0 Gram in each 000 capsule which is WONDERFUL. I can literally weigh out 3-4 capsules and they will net almost exactly that many grams.

I suffer chronic pain and I can only speak to me, personally, but my answer is red, red, and more red for pain. Greens and whites may work for some people’s pain, but for me the are entirely ineffective. I will say, they are good to blend with a red if you are prone to exhaustion or depression and whites can entirely erase coffee from one’s diet.

Still, I use Kratom exclusively for pain control and call it my medicine. I have slow reds for evening/night and faster reds for the AM/afternoon. Some vendors offer pink Kratom, a mix of red and white, and I will sometimes take a spoonful of that and another spoonful of a straight red for daytime use. Some vendors have reds that give me enough energy on its own and mood burst, along with pain relief, so I mostly stick with reds and at night blend my reds with a slower yellow or gold.
