Typical day in a life - spinal arthritis- how I use Kratom
1.7 grams Greens in the morning/ 2.4 grams Reds at night

My physical therapy exercises are first. I wake up stiff different pain level from day to day. I take Kratom after the PT routine. I use the morning PT routine to manage the morning pain not the Kratom.
Kratom comes next with addition of turmeric and black pepper. Followed by green tea with a scoop of Moringa. All these are my daily anti inflammatory favorites. Today I took Green Thai(Insense Botanicals) its a cold damp day and this is one of my most potent greens that has pain relief. I stand on my feet at work couldn't do this without Kratom. About 4 hours I am getting break through pain. This is where I will decide if I am going to do a booster kratom dose I usually don't. I am still getting good mood lift and energy from my morning dose. I take a break and feel better. Today about 8 hours later most of the pain relieving properties are gone but I am managing the pain well I am not redosing or taking my other botanicals. I felt a great sense of well being today much later after my morning dose. Sometimes at this point I fatigue and have a runny nose, but none of this today. Also today is the first time I was very aware of kratom helping control blood sugar. I haven't eaten in a while and I am not feeling shaky.

In an hour I will take my Red night dose with green tea, ginger, moringa, turmeric. Then I do yoga.

This is how I incorporate Kratom in my life to manage pain. I feel very much in control of things which was my goal in choosing Kratom over a year ago.

I just wanted to share how Kratom can meet specific needs. What I am not doing is taking is NSAIDs, Opioid meds, cortisone shots, peeing at a pain clinic.

Darn , just had my entire post I was writing poop out and disappear!! oh well. The logist of which I was saying that your routine is very inspiring and I feel compelled to incorporate more stretching and strengthening exercises after hearing about your regimen… One thing that I wanted to tell you about on that I’ve been using recently and having great relief with Is “tens” device that sends pulses of electricity through these pads with all sorts of different modes like Swedish, cupping and tai chi modes to name a few , Really helps relax my tense muscles And thought you might be able to benefit from this as well, I believe physical therapists utilize this in patient sessions .

You probably already know about this device but in case you didn’t.... , my sweet love bought me this for around 40 bucks off of Amazon, it’s been awesome! I already drink lots of turmeric and ginger in the morning with my yerba maté … incorporating more Anti-inflammatory foods would be great for me as well, though I I’m lucky to have so much farm fresh foods at my finger tips, and eat very well!!

Thank you for sharing your routine and as someone who also deals with spinal arthritis I appreciate what you share with all of us… Thank you very much

I take between 3 and 5 grams in the morning before work, 3 to 5 grams at lunch time, then melatonin at night to fall asleep. On weekends I don't take any until I have to leave the house or start a physically demanding project. I have noticed that I'm fine until I decide to try and leave the house. I get very nervous for whatever reason. I have had quite a bit of anxiety throughout my life though, and I have noticed that now that I go to the gym my heart rate is so much better. I used to hit 170 bpm within ten minutes on the ellipticals. Now when I go to the gym on kratom my heart rate stays in the 120s even after 20 minutes of cardio workout. It hits 145 max which is healthy for my age range.

Some contributing factors to my high heart rate at the gym: My right leg is moderately atrophied compared to my left and it screams for oxygen within minutes on certain exercises. When I was in college I did not exercise at all, ever. I have anxiety attacks and dissociation which I've learned to control mentally, but perhaps not physically. One day my heart rate was 160 bpm as soon as I stepped onto the elliptical. It was an anxiety attack, but I've trained myself over the past 20 years to ignore it.

I'm not sure how kratom effects my heart rate, but I assume it reduces anxiety and helps with the pain I'm in. I'd like to know if it aids in circulation, or has some other cardiovascular benefits as well.

I find kratom to be an anxiety trigger in some cases. A strain switch is called for to avoid that. Sometimes I don’t realize until a small panic attack is goin’ on. Like you, I’ve learned to use my mind to combat making anxiety worse, in addition to a strain change.

Not all strains are created equal. Definitely some are not triggers for anxiety and my headspace also plays a role.

I look forward to seeing some reports from other anxiety prone kratomites.

Yes. I can't take whites unless they are mixed with red or maybe a green. I have a horrible reaction to any kind of stimulant, even coffee sometimes. While initially I thought I liked white strains I quickly learned that they have to mixed. They give a really crank turning boost of energy, but it's too much for me.

I can say its lowered my heart rate and blood pressure. And I mix different strains and recently noticed some anxiety with different strains. Nothing severe but more like and edgy feeling after too much caffeine.

Whites make me edgy and some give me headaches.
Greens have been over all anxiety relieving but I cannot mix them. If I mix greens with any color even another green its a fail.
The most sedating Reds like bentuangies and Sumatra with give me a slightly depressed feeling, what I learned is to dose sedating strains down a bit.
I like the Kratom experiment. It gives me the control, even when somethings it feels like you don't always know what you will get. For the most part I am able to achieve consistent function and pain relief. I actually learned from taking Kratom how much I was in denial that I also suffered from anxiety. Very eye opening.
I also do not feel dependence after over a year of use. Some days I won't take it. I look at my arsenal of health remedies and Kratom is chosen because it works the best
