I have searched and can’t find anything on this subject so I hope I’m posting to the right area and sorry if Iam not. But I’m a daily Kratom user, I have heavy anxiety and it pretty bad but the doc put me on buspar and lexapro and I was wanting to know if anybody has been on the same thing, any insight about interactions or positive combine. He only has me taking one lexapro a day(5mg for 7 days) and then 10mg after 7 days and still just one a day. Now he has me taking 1 (10mg) buspar twice daily as needed. I have searched online and can’t seem to find any bad things about taking the two together along with Kratom but they won’t be taken at the same time at different intervals during the day.

Thank You

I welcomed you elsewhere here. Thanks for spelling it out because we seem to be the test dummies for this stuff still.

How do you feel so far?

I can tell you that I’m starting Wellbutrin 150mg this week and supposed to double it next week. It’s been weird, but ok. I’m taking it slow and not coming to any conclusions about eliminating anything thus far. Taking it slow and easy because the meds have side effects still.

Hope you get some support here. You’re certainly not alone.

I just started taking lexapro and buspar today as. I was prescribed yesterday and the doc gave me a couple valiums for doc visit and so I was calm for that hehe. But the reports and papers of both say they aren’t fast acting for anxiety so that’s a bummer as I’m a heavy sufferer but better late then never. But today is my first day and not sure if I feel any different but guess I’ll find out hehe. Thanks for the welcome and I hope all goes well with Wellbutrin and I took that in high school years ago and for me didn’t find much comfort with it and drank heavy during my dosing back then.

So if you don’t mind me asking are you currently taking Kratom with the meds? I have been using Kratom for over a year and it’s a godsend but my anxiety is got out of control and it just barely rips the bottom anymore but don’t wanna stop Kratom cause it helps me on so many other ways.

Take it easy on yourself, is my advice. These things take time.

Hopefully you’ll post an update or more as you go.

We all learn from this stuff.

Looking at the timing of the post it was posted almost the same time Laurie responded to the one prior. Might not have seen the new reply? I am putting it back out there for an answer. Can't answer for her she will soon.

Good question. I went ahead and took mine fairly close together. No negative side effects. I think I’ve been incredibly lucky so far. It took 3 weeks to adjust to Chantix and build tolerance from side effects.

There ARE side effects, but much milder and manageable than Chantix. I think maybe the Chantix torture (headaches) may have helped me dodge some issues because the Wellbutrin is in the same class.

I noticed some dulling of my relief from kratom on the first day, but by day 2, I felt almost “normal”.

Today I’m having complaints I always have, so I can’t blame the substances.

How about you, NBerry78? Nan70 was right, I missed this comment.

My anxiety is not necessarily relieved by kratom. So I know what you mean. I enjoy other botanicals for that issue.

LOL

Yea that Chantix is a doozy, but I opted to use the patch(quit smoking) and I talk to a few people who took chantix for that purpose and they had very weird thought patterns so I decided to stay with the patch. As for my medication I haven’t had any side effects to my knowledge with Kratom but I’m taking very low dose of Kratom just to see how my body reacts to the mixture and seems to be doing ok so that’s a plus. He put me at such a low dose at first(which is confusing to me)cause he knows My anxiety is so high or severe but that’s the nature of the beast I guess. Thanks for your kind words of encouragement and will let you know how it goes after a few days and awhile after but usually it’s the first few you gotta worry about? Take care and hope to talk to ya soon.

Thanks
Nick
