I recently ordered some S&V to help lower my tolerance but I have some questions about the best way to handle it. How long do I need to use it for a noticeable lowering of tolerance? ..... Do I have to use S&V ONLY or can I say use a normal does in the morning or night and use S&V during the day? My tolerance is at a wasteful level and I need to bring it down. I am a recovering addict and still suffer from the "idea" if some is good then more is better but I have learned that is not the case with this beautiful plant. It has helped me enormously is my recovery. I fear going on a full T break without any kratom because the longer I go w/o the more I risk "chemical seeking behavior". I went through treatment a year and a half ago and struggled with relapse until I re-discovered Kratom. It has been a godsend in my recovery but I don't what to keep wasting it the way I have been.

TLDR version: does S&V help lowering tolerance and how long do I need to use it.

Many thanks

Great post/ questions Connor , I’m ready to hop on the s&v wagon too ... tolerance is not cool and I have a pretty high tolerance at the moment, I started a new job out of desperation and it’s hard labor which completely twists my already twisted arthritic spine, I find myself dosing more frequently since starting this job and before that I’ve been wanting to get my dose down for a while. I need to figure out which vendor to get this from, I assume s&v is like Kratom where some is better/ more effective than others but have zero experience with it, it’s like starting kratom all over again where I just know squat about

Please let us know how it goes , I’m fascinated and inspired by this ... take care ( I’ll look for some s&v and maybe we could share notes on the experience ??)

Hopefully we can help you with tolerance but I feel you are more in need of tapering your dose, almost the same thing but not.
You can succeed in tapering so I hope you will get tons of suggestions.
Stem and vein is one way, here is a brief background for you-
Stem and vein- (this is a copy and paste)
Stem and vein Kratom is a type of powder made solely from the stems and veins of other Kratom products. Stem and vein has a very distinct alkaloid makeup because most of the alkaloids found in stem and vein aren't prevalent in the leaves which means these alkaloids are fairly unique
If you get a true quality stem and vein it will hit different receptors than regular kratom, you should be able to get somewhat similar results and since it hits different receptors the idea it will help reset tolerance level without having to take a kratom break.
likely you will need to take more than your normal dose, some will cut the higher dose in half and add stem and vein to help taper a higher dose.

Are you purchasing quality Kratom(not from head shops)? This forum can help find quality kratom too.

APPROVED ILK VENDOR www.teatimebotanical.com has stem n vein. I got it from an unapproved vendor mentioned earlier today/yesterday in a similar thread of discussion.

While I got perfectly good product, I’d have preferred to get the benefit of ILK discounts such as Tea Time Botanical has posted on the forum here a few days ago.

Like Nan70 said, weaning also does the same job of reducing tolerance.

I have had the day off so doing stem n vein without other kratom today. No worries or problems.

I still needed pain relief and supplemented with a bit of akuamma (one capsule of 600mg) and a bit of incarvillea extract powder 20X (one capsule of unknown mg).

I’ve been weaning down each evening for 2 weeks by using s & v in place of kratom. I definitely recommend doing it as a slow wean regardless of powder type.

I’m also in recovery and trying to shake any cobwebs out of my head related to depression (the illness, not the mood).

No conclusions have been made yet. I’m not experiencing any problems.

Supposedly this sale was over the last weekend. I encourage ILK members to email and inquire about any discount codes before checking out.

Here’s the sale link that looks to be still active:

teatimebotanical.com was the only place I could find it in stock. $16.00 for 4oz (I bought 2). If I think of it I will try and get back to you once I start on it. Thanks for the input so far.

connor, we will definitely appreciate your feedback. There’s no reason to wait - weaning can be done with regular powder. Check your calendar to schedule it for times when you are more comfortable using less.

By cutting back in evenings, it’s been hardly noticeable. Weaning at night is a handy way to get tolerance down, if you have alternative methods to sleep comfortably.

I swear I learn at least one new thing here everyday! have not even thought of dabbling with s+v, but ill consider it in the future now that I know it reacts differently. this might be a stupid question but do you only make tea with it?

I got my S&V in tonight's mail and will start tomorrow w/ a normal morning dose and then switch to S&V for the rest of the day. Small doses at frequent intervals is the plan.

I can't speak to the tea idea I always just toss and wash. The S&V I got from teatimebotanical.com is a very fine powder.

I will try and keep up to date on how this journey plays out.
