Welcome to the best kratom forum EVER, aberrant5!

I would also like to know what you use it for if it were me trying to prioritize the need.

There is NO WAY you’ll need 20 days to wean off! That sounds like opiate detox. NOT KRATOM. Your dosage per day is about as low as the average person who is using it for pain relief for a chronic condition.

Dependence is NOT the same as addiction. While I would also expect some unhappiness in having to quit for the trip, it’s a no brainer for me. Wean off now and SEE HOW YOU FEEL in a few days.

If you can, definitely look into the wonderful suggestions michele373 mentions in the post above.

Madmax has been doggedly researching herbs for the most SIMILAR herb for if Louisiana had banned it/will ban it. He will have some excellent suggestions for you to ORDER NOW and take with you. Assuming other herbs are still legal over there. I’ll be sure he sees this thread, and I think I have his list of the TOP 10 or so. I’ll post this and go look for it.

You’ve GOT THIS :-)

wow that's tough. although I cant tell you what to do, never come close to being in that position. you say harsh huh... if I were you I would look for a legal substitute. there are many ILK approved vendors that have legal substitutes. laughing lion is the only one that comes to mind right now.

happy to have you hear im sorry its under duress. if I may ask do you take the leaf for pain? or for sleep or both? I have really been dabbling in other natural supplements. akuamma, Chinese skullcap, and corydalis have been some of my go tos lately and in sense/ gold leaf botanicals sells them. and chuchuassi, incarviella sinesis are great too. maybe taper with stem and vein tea, there are others that are better versed than I on this. I tske the leaf 5 days/ week and do ok with only a couple to 3 of these on my days off. good luck to you!

So, for reason's I can't really go into. I will be boarding a plane for Minsk Belarus in about 20 days. It took me a while to sort this stuff out, but I have found that Belarus specifically has declared Kratom illegal with HARSH punishments. I have a family, I don't really think I can risk ending up in a gulag somewhere. I would have about 20 days to detox, though for the majority of those days I will need to be functional. I have been using Kratom for about 3 months now, daily, and generally take a fairly high dose, Mitragaia 8in1 10-20g per day. My choices are detox, figure out a legal substitute, or risk it - which does not seem like the way to go. Any advice? Anyone else been in this position?
