Sorry to hear about an unwanted taper.

I agree with Theanine that resins are highly disappointing and not worth the cost - instant tolerance.

This way, you’ve got nowhere to go but UP with leaf use as soon as things look more affordable for you.

Hang in there, Balidreamzzz!

Good decision. In any case, in my personal experience, the resin is quite disappointing. It is likely due to the fact that the main opioid alkaloids are quite unstable in Kratom and get largely destroyed in the process. I had to take half a gram to a gram of the 50X resin for any significant effect. So, that 50X is more like 10 times the strength of the dry leaf by weight. So, a 20X extract only has about 4 to 5 times the potency of plain kratom. Good extracts do work but raise one's tolerance to the product. The X signifies the amounts used in production, NOT potency. Now, you can get a professional level carbon dioxide extraction which WILL give you an entourage (full spectrum) effect, but those type of extracts are expensive to produce and cost quite a bit....

About a year ago I made some extract and was left with some resin that I never took, just saved for a rainy day...well..it looks like it went from a rainy day to emergency situation. If I take the resin, is there a guideline as to how much I should take. The strength is probably around 10x if I remember correctly. Also does anyone know if it goes bad? I've kept it stored as I said for about a year now at room temperature and it still has the same sticky consistency as when I originally made it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you and hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

I second Laurie on this one. However, if you do decide on using it, start at around 300 mg just to be safe. Again, it is best combined with some plain leaf. It would probably take at least a gram of the 10X paste for proper effects as it would only be 2 to 3 times more potent by weight. Best of luck to ya!

Hi Ray,

So sorry you’re still not able to buy kratom. I’ll continue to give your address out privately on pm to anyone who can help.

That said, I don’t recommend you use the resin. All that will do is increase your tolerance and make you MORE physically dependent on a leaf you cannot afford.

Plus, it’s best used mixed with leaf.

My two cents are to taper off kratom until things turn around, NOT increase physical dependence so a brutal detox need follow.

That’s it from me. NEXT! (Happy Fathers Day to the dads out there!)
