Has anyone seen the "studies" from mayo clinic, and other big hospital/pharma companies stating kratom causes kidney failure, liver failure, and death? Oddly, these articles range from these issues arising within days or up to 7 or 8 weeks. I don't know about all of you, but I have been an avid kratom user for going on almost 4 years now, and get organ functionality tests done regularly as a diabetic, and I've never had any issues (I am 25). Just wondering how everyone else is doing, and what everyones input here is.

Welcome to the best kratom forum ever, GsxRTrixteR!

We are also still in improving states of health, aside from one member who joined earlier today who is very concerned about pesticides in multiple approved vendors’ products causing her irreparable harm :-( Hopefully she will follow up with her status.

Some people have had difficulty digesting leaf material. They often try extracts instead and can end up in a pickle of addiction.

The biggest problem is that we are NEVER CERTAIN as to what benefits we will have. Dehydration is an issue needing ongoing attention as well as constipation can be a huge pain. But nothing that causes harm except this one woman TODAY who you might inquire with.

I’m in my 6th yr, albeit not steady use the entire time. Daily use for about 2 plus years and I’m battling some weight gain from quitting nicotine.

Thanks for asking. I’m sure others will have input.

Overall, my life is exponentially IMPROVED QUALITY OF ENJOYMENT because I CAN DO MORE FOR MYSELF to work on exercise and social activities I would not be able/willing to participate in. My kratom use influenced a close relative’s life from opiates to clean and she uses no kratom. Her life is much improved and she will undoubtedly live many more years than once thought.

Great news that you have no damaged organs!

For a good resource of studies, check the American Kratom Association (AKA) at www.americankratom.org AND for some dated but helpful learning/educational information, this website has some golden written material ALL ABOUT THE LEAF written by one of the moderators here and posted under BLOGS up above (the state legislative updates are obsolete and should be deleted - that chore is on my to-do wish list). .

In your experience, you must have family or friends who use it. Any problems there?

Thank you Laurie

I just poured my heart out but wrote to much and my post just disappeared!! :(

In a nut shell... because a few react badly to somthing doesn’t make it harmful... as beneficial as kratom is to me and so many more.. we still need to stay hydrated, proper intake of nutrition.... and not over do it ... the best of things taken to much can have a negative effect !!

Kratom allows me the space for movement in areas of self improvement , for movement between the issues I have with chronic pain...
the depression and anxiety from it, lowered so much that I wonder where it went !!!

Some are allergic to honey and bee pollen... but for many it’s a food and medicine .. doesn’t make it bad because it’s detrimental to some folks .. they just need to choose different options for their health

That’s why It’s all the more important that we support the vendors who insure the kratom we utilize is pure and unadulterated leaf , free from pesticides, pathogens and other contaminates...

Nothing is medicine if it’s attached to toxic byproducts... that’s what the fda runs with , because of how effective kratom is for me and millions of others ... the few who have bad reactions along with the few who’ve capitalized despite of proper health safeguards is what they highlight and run with...and stamp it as a risk to health .. detrimental even...the plethora of folks who benefit from kratom have a different account to share ,

So ... no such thing as a free lunch , even the best of things have some considerations to address... be mindful, choose pure kratom leaf from honest and responsible vendors with integrity and remember to tend to your ailments no matter the supplements you take ...

One size doesn’t fit all , and we need to choose what works best and with the least amount of health risk ...

I’ll keep choosing kratom from vendors who insure the herbs we take are pure , safe, even though and unfortunately so.. some have encounterd shady ones with impure adulterated kratom

Thanks so much, Somethingsacred Brandon! Another victim of the long email “kerfuffle” (they go poof! Copy ALL before submitting if you definitely don’t want to take a chance on lost work - timeouts).

This is some of your best work! Great reply! Night!

Simply people do not realize how corrupt this government truly is. They do not care about the average citizen or anything that will benefit them. The FDA is clearly in their pocket.
It all comes down to Profit. And if big pharma, big industry, the 1% and the others start to lose money this is what they do.
Outright lie. Misinformation and Disinformation. News is just for entertainment and ratings has nothing to due with the truth, facts, or science.
And sadly the majority of people do not have critical thinking skills and question any of this B.S. until it is something that concerns them. They just buy into the lies that they are being feed. Blind sheep!

You’re so right, Jayisk! I sometimes wonder if the people are too crippled by toxic food and pharmaceuticals that they are unable to process what’s happening around them?

Good morning everyone!!! (waving wildly) Good morning to the Lovely Laurie. A truly beautiful "Morning GLaurie"! My Little Brother Brandon! And it's always a pleasure to see you jayisk! Please forgive me if I left anyone out. If I may I'd like to share a few statistics with you that will REALLY expose those incredible manipulation by the PAC's and their buddies in government.

Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics 2019 update from the American Heart Association reveals that 116.4 million, or 46% of US adults have high blood pressure (hypertension). A person dies of Cardiovascular Diseases every 38 seconds. That's 2,303 deaths from CVD every day, based on 2016 data". Cheese. Sugars. Roundup infested wheat. Smoking. Empty, empty caloric intake that causes morbid obesity.

And here's another for you: In 2016, there were 34,439 police-reported fatal car accidents – a 5.8 percent increase from 2015. These fatal crashes led to 37,461 total fatalities, including 25,096 vehicle occupants, 5,286 motorcyclists, and 7,079 nonoccupants. 58 percent of police-reported fatal car accidents involved only one vehicle. In 2016, the deadliest 3-hour period was midnight to 3am on Saturdays, with 1,015 fatal crashes – closely followed by 6pm to 9pm on the same day with 1,001 crashes. 38 percent of all fatal car accidents began from a collision with another motor vehicle. The most common collision occurred at an angle. 40 percent of all fatal car accidents started by a collision with a fixed object (such as trees or street signs) or a noncollision (such as rollovers). In 2016, the most fatal car accidents happened in the summer months of June through September, peaking in the month of October with 3,249 fatal crashes. The most fatal car accidents occurred on Saturday, with 6,104 accidents. 48 percent of all fatal accidents took place during nighttime conditions. Of these accidents, 41 percent occurred in dark, but lighted conditions.

And another one: An estimated 88,0008 people (approximately 62,000 men and 26,000 women) die from alcohol-related causes annually, making alcohol the third leading preventable cause of death in the United States. The first is tobacco, and the second is poor diet and physical inactivity. In 2014, alcohol-impaired driving fatalities accounted for 9,967 deaths (31 percent of overall driving fatalities).

And another one. (this is a real kick in the intellectual pants)!! :How Dangerous is FDA approved medicines? CDC says overdose deaths involving prescription opioids were five times higher in 2016 than 1999, and sales of these prescription drugs have quadrupled. Out of the 783,936 annual deaths from conventional medicine mistakes, approximately 106,000 of those are the result of prescription drug use. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, two-hundred and ninety people in the United States are killed by prescription drugs every day.

And the latest Bullshit being flung around by "experts": A new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggests kratom can be deadly, especially when used with other drugs. An analysis published Thursday involving a sampling of U.S. states says there were 152 drug overdose deaths from July 2016 to June 2017 in which the person who died tested positive for kratom. Among those fatal overdoses, kratom was listed as a cause of death for 91 people, including seven who tested positive for no other substance, although researchers cautioned that "the presence of additional substances cannot be ruled out." For the majority of deaths, the ultrapotent opioid fentanyl and its analogues were the most commonly co-occurring drugs listed as a cause of death, followed by heroin and benzodiazepines. Researchers said the number of deaths in which people tested positive for kratom may be underestimated due to differences in toxicology testing. "The type and number of substances detected in kratom-involved deaths can inform overdose prevention strategies," researchers said. Some states and localities have banned kratom outright, while others – including Oregon and the town of Castle Rock in Colorado – have been considering regulations. Thursday's study involved data from 27 states, though only 11 reported deaths that occurred during the entire period of July 2016 to December 2017. About 80% of the deaths tied in some form to kratom were among people who had a history of substance misuse, CDC researchers said, and most people were not believed to be undergoing "medically supervised treatment for pain."

Now in the USA there is an estimated 2 to 5 million Kratom users. Please check my facts. I'm not positive but it is substantial. All a person needs to do is the MATH! You are much safer, statistic wise, taking Kratom than: driving your car, eating ANY processed foods, drinking alcohol and trusting Big Pharma and their drugs that can kill A PERSON THAT IS GENETCALLY allergic to their poisons.

Some of you wonderful folks are not going to like what I'm going to say but I'll speak the truth. The very system that is supposed to be working FOR US is in fact working to our detriment. People need to set aside their political affiliations and think for themselves. Republican? Democrat?? They are each a head on the same national bird. And the last time I checked the eagle is NOT 2 headed. The Romanov's is Czarist Russia, an Autocracy, had as their family crest a 2 headed bird of prey. After 300 years that didn't work out so well. And the rest of the world is STILL dealing with the aftermath of that mess.

You good folks are looking wonderful today! And you ladies are lovely as ever!! It is always a joy to see my friends here!!

Be blessed and have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

Robie
