What is Mitragyna Hirsuta Kratom?
Mitragyna hirsuta is supposed to be dominant in mitraphylline and lacking mitragynine and 7-OH-mitragynine.

When we use kratom 3 to 4 times a day quantity must vary from 3 grams which is considered a high potency and low tolerance to 6 grams which is low potency and high tolerance, this will push you towards a bit of dependency on the herb but you can always stop for some days to check about yourself and to go back to your normal activities.

There is also a difference of strains like greens are considered the best and whites are known to peak too fast while the red ones are mellow for long periods but the punch is not there.

Active Compound
Mitragyna hirsuta has neither mitragynine nor 7-hydroxymitragynine, kratom’s most potent alkaloids. The main alkaloid of this substance is mitraphylline, which is also one of M. Speciosa’s elements.

Mitraphylline binds to the mu and delta opiate receptors in our brain, and that is how kra thum khok becomes helpful and brings about its beneficial effects.

Uses and Effects of Mitragyna Hirsuta

Kratom and M. hirsuta are quite similar, even if the effects of the latter are milder. That occurs because their active elements bind to the opioid receptors in your brain, and as a result, they both can bring about some of the effects of opiates. But neither kratom nor mitragyna hirsuta are opiates.

Thanks to mitraphylline, mitragyna hirsuta can produce the following effects:
Energy and stimulation: At low doses, mitragyna hirsuta will provide you with an energy booster.
Mood LIfting: Just like kratom, you can achieve A Positive Feeling Of Well Being by ingesting M. hirsuta.

Anxiety relief: Mitragyna hirsuta is a good remedy if you are suffering from anxiety. Its soothing, relaxing properties will be very helpful if you are experiencing anxiety. And it can be also useful for moments of stress.

Alleviate depression: Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a cure for depression. Kratom, antidepressants and other substances, such as mitragyna hirsuta, can only alleviate or cover its symptoms. But they cannot cure depression. Even so, the Mood Lift that kra thum khok creates can be very helpful if you are suffering from depression.

Pain relief: Yes, mitragyna hirsuta is also a natural remedy for pain conditions. In fact, one of its traditional uses was for treating pain. Indigenous people from Thailand or Cambodia used to chew the hirsuta leaves to alleviate pain.

Cope with opiate withdrawal: Kratom is commonly used for coping with the symptoms of opiate withdrawal. However, there are many people who cannot use kratom because it is not available where they live. For these people, mitragyna hirsuta can be a very good alternative which can help them cope with the symptoms of opiate withdrawal.

But mitragyna hirsuta can also balance your blood pressure or improve concentration. And it also has antioxidant properties.

Dosage

The effects of mitragyna hirsuta will vary depending on the dosage. In this sense, M. hirsuta is again similar to kratom. Low doses will bring about energizing, stimulant effects, while high doses will produce more sedative, relaxing effects.

However, since mitragyna hirsuta effects are milder than kratom’s, the doses you need will be higher. Most People Recommend to start with 15 Grams & go up from there but I say start with 2 Grams & go up. Taking a half ounce for just one dose is not very efficient if you ask me & with the Higher the Dosage the Higher the Chance you have of Side Effects. I can say that the right dose seems to be about 4 - 5 Grams which is a little bit more than the Usual Speciosa Dosage. I don't Recommend going over 10 Grams with Hirsuta.

Just Remember everybody will Respond to Hirsuta Differently so I would Recommend starting out with just 2 grams or even a little less first to see how you react to it. Some people get side effects like Dizziness if you dose to high. Hirsuta seems to have more potent side effects than Speciosa. So Just Remember to Start as Low a Dosage as Possible & Slowly go up until you feel the Desired Effects.

Mitragyna Hirsuta side effects
In most cases, the side effects of mitragyna hirsuta are due to high doses. The most common side effects of M. hirsuta are:
Sleepiness
Drowsiness
Mental laziness

In some cases, it can also produce the typical side effects of kratom (such as nausea, constipation, stomach upset). Nonetheless, as mitragyna hirsuta’s effects are milder than kratom, so are its side effects.

Very high doses of mitragyna hirsuta could also produce hallucinations, respiratory issues or tachycardia. Therefore, you must be careful with the dose.

How to Take Mitragyna Hirsuta
The traditional way of ingesting kra thum khok is by chewing its leaves. But that is something you will not be able to do unless you have your own tree. Otherwise, you will need to find other ways to consume it. And that is because you can only find mitragyna hirsuta in powder (made from the dried leaves), pills or tincture. In fact, the tincture is not that easy to find.

The most common ways of consuming kra thum khok are:
Brewed in a tea
Pills
Toss n’ wash
Added to juices, smoothies, sauces

I must add to this about my experience with Hirsuta. I originally followed the instructions above with regard to dosage size and got pretty dizzy and sick. Repeated attempts deemed same results.

Only when I found another member of our community with more personal experiences to share did I find out that Hirsuta is best taken at HALF the dose size of a typical kratom dose.

I found it extremely more helpful at only one level TEAspoon every 4-6 hours during my Hirsuta Only Thursday (HOT). I carried it into Friday with the addition of 2 TEAspoons of regular green vein kratom TOTAL on Friday (usually my dose every 2-5 hrs).

Upon waking on Saturday, I definitely felt lousy from lack of kratom alkaloids and took my regular 2 TEAspoons green vein kratom and will try rotating in Hirsuta for the next dose and only add kratom if needed for “withdrawal symptoms”, which are mild aches and sweating - certainly nothing like an opiate withdrawal experience but noticeable enough to require I continue to wean down while pain levels are manageable with naproxen, akuamma and varying between green vein kratom and Hirsuta all day today.

I have run out of coffee :-O at dog sitting house and only had one cup - which is also uncomfortable but not of concern (perhaps I should cut back on coffee, too :-()

Like everything else kratom related, I’m sure Madmax agrees that one should start on the low side and adjust upward. I was wrong to not follow my own mantra: less is more! LOL

On my Kratom abstinence day, KFF, I mentioned I was going to try doubling my dosage of Cat's Claw, which contains Mitraphylline. I normally take one capsule, twice a day. It's 334 mg. of Uncaria Tomentosa extract that's been derived from 3.34 grams of the plant.

The fourth cap might have been too much as I felt a bit off by the end of Friday night(dizziness being imminent) and got a headache. Obviously I can't be sure that it was the extra capsules that gave me that, but I am noting it.

I tried to see how Cat's Claw stacks up against Hirsuta regarding their content of Mitraphylline but I found no quick answer to that.

But if Cat's Claw is even in the same ball park, then maybe the 13.36 grams total of raw plant, that got extracted into the four 334 mg, capsules I took, was enough to kick in a bad side effect, especially as I took them within a 10 - 12 hour period, more or less.

Lesson learned, science served? lol

Though up until that fourth cap it was smooth sailing.

P.S. I got to find out that ten year old aspirin, which was stored away in a cool dark place, gets a bit crusty with the coating of the tablet, but still worked pretty good. :)

That Hirsuta bites if you take much at once! I would be very comfortable assuming the mitraphylline caused you to feel dizzy/unwell because I found that to be true repeatedly as I prepared for Hirsuta Only Thursday (HOT). One teaspoon at a time for at LEAST 4 hours or that feeling sick/off kicks right in.

No headache, but I’m fortunate enough to never get them now that I don’t drink alcohol. Never had a day without a headache for YEARS. Lucky to be alive!

I’ve got the last trickle of Hirsuta from Tea Time Botanicals ordered. I kept waiting for some income to order and I ended up getting the last 85 grams they have. So glad I borrowed money from Mom to cover this. I found it incredibly helpful and I will be mentioning this kratom relative in addition to crushed leaf to vendors as opportunity offers :)
I probably cannot participate in Hirsuta Only Thursday (HOT) until next week unless a miracle strikes.
I’d be interested in trying it from other vendors because this source has no strain color and apparently they DO have the same color guide as kratom!
The learning just never ends. THANK YOU FOR POSTING helpful information on Hirsuta, Madmax (Son I never had, but am very proud of!)
I’m so excited I got SOME en route. Lots of dog watching/walking to pay Mom back is NEXT. Two more gigs this month. Whew!

Hey Laurie I am SO SORRY that you got SO DIZZY with the Dosage that I recommended for the Hirsuta. I Lowered the Dosage Recommendations to be on the Safe Side. I didn't want anybody to have Side Effects & be Turned off from using Hirsuta. It is probably the Best Kratom Alternative out there.

What would you Guess your Hirsuta Dose is?

I’m at 1 TEAspoon or 2-3 grams a pull. I can last a good 4-6 hrs with only adding a 1/2 tsp regular kratom. But. I’ve only tried it from 2 sources. The sample from you and Tea Time Botanicals. Also I don’t even know the color of strain (or Country of Origin or Mitragyna percentage or Mitraphylline percentage lol lol lol lol. Lots to learn!)

I’m more able to kick DOWN kratom use with this tool. No MORE than 2-3 grams at a time. No worries Madmax! You know how DIFFERENT we all are with these experiments!

Today I tried lemon juice with olive oil and kratom after it sat all night. Gross but effective. Definitely gotta get better flavors going on. Not sure I can stand to drink it often, but I think IF IT WORKS, I might. I’m sorting out how to mix these things now. (Something to do to wean down while I’m waiting for Hirsuta to assist with wean).

I found a fresh bag of crushed leaf green maeng da that has been in storage while I wait until I’m in a kratom tea making mood. Mostly because I don’t have a stovetop and my Mom is too sensitive to heat,- even just from the stove. So I tried the recipe T4TW0* kindly posted and I put a big jar out with crushed green maeng da. (* A combination of tea makers influenced the steps, including Robie.) Then I poured it over to a better beverage jar with coffee filters. It started getting jammed up after the first half was poured through the filter. So I squeezed the tea through and finished straining with a second filter. Added fresh lemon juice and BAZINGA! Not bad! Great way to make lemons of lemonade during a heatwave. I’m not young enough to hit the beach very often and there’s no WiFi down there, but I made sure to check out the ocean while running errands today! Beautiful day will be followed with a MUST SEE Harvest Moon. Hope everyone is ok I’m this heat! Be careful out there as Friday the 13th is creeping upon us!
