Just one more thing: The linen filtering material lets some solids through (a good thing) so shake well before serving the finished product.

Thanks so much T4TWO & FusedFlora. I Really Appreciate it very much. I am still Learning about Making the Tea. The More I Make it the Better I Will Get. There's No Substitute for Experience. One more Question.

Like once the Water is Hot, Do I ever place the Pot back on the Heat Source or Do I leave it off Completely while it's Simmering?

Oh By the Way Crushed Leaf Kratom is just Kratom that hasn't been Ground up into Powder yet. It is just roughly Crushed up Leaves, Stems & Veins. It still has Stems & Veins in there as well which makes it a Full Experience. I've heard from a lot of Indonesian Suppliers that Crushed Leaf is the best way to make Tea because the Leaves Release more of the Alkaloids than the Powder. I have tried Powder as well & the Crushed Leaf was more Potent for sure even though it still had stem & vein in there. The Leaves stay Fresher Longer than the Powder but Don't know that for sure. Just some Thoughts.:-?

To answer your question, once the plain water boils, take it off, let it cool down from the boiling point a bit then add the powder (or leaves as the case may be) and leave it off the stove. Just keep stirring often as it cools. That is just my technique I don't see why it wouldn't work for anyone. The longer the brew sits and is agitated I suppose the more alkaloids will be released until the kratom is depleted. I once tried re-using spent kratom and - - - nothin' but dirty water.

Wow, that makes sense. If crushed leaf actually makes a more potent tea, then I would do well to obtain some since tea is my preferred delivery method (as they say). What is the best source for the crushed kratom leaf? I'd like to try it. Many thanks.

Allow me to correct myself before someone else does. I said I don't see why my tea brewing technique wouldn't work for anyone. That not necessarily true. Effects vary from person to person - just for the record. =D>

Too bad I cannot find ANY vendor currently carrying it. You might find someone online. The vendor names I know and/or trust eventually lead to OUT OF STOCK or WE ARE NOT TAKING NEW CUSTOMERS and such.

I think you should let your vendor(s) Of choice know of your interest and usually there are opportunities to get some while making negotiations with farmers and or their resellers. All of our vendors can also potentially HAVE SOME lying in wait for being ground. So it’s a good idea to express your interest in crushed leaf.

I got on a waiting list from one good vendor who is not interested in ILK Approval and I’ll post here if they contact me.

I spent about one Summer trying to master tea making before I gave up (I am not safe in the kitchen, unfortunately).

Here’s a REALLY OLD discussion I found on this same topic on this very forum. For fun: www.ilovekratom.com/kratom-forum/kratom-...ushed-leaf-vs-powder

Master? Gee Whizzz - it's not exactly a Japanese Tea Ceremony (lol). Crushed leaf sounds interesting, but I'm not desperate to get any. If there was a big demand for leaf all the vendors would be offering it don't ya think?

I think the demand is still FORMING because the masses are only NOW starting to realize that they are believing lies they’ve read. My hunch is a LOT OF PEOPLE will be wanting to make tea with crushed leaf.

I really appreciated your posting the process YOU HAVE SUCCESS WITH. Very considerate and helpful!

Incidentally, I’ve had the opportunity to try potentially future ILK APPROVED VENDOR tea made commercially and there is A LOT OF FUN to be had from using this method for ingesting the product. I absolutely loved being able to drink my “medication” for a day. There are some hiccups delaying the release. Stay tuned!
