I've been searching for a list of California kratom vendors. For some reason SoCal was among vendors on a list but they're actually in Florida, correct? Anyway, they've been appearing in my reading and online searches. Is there something making SoCal (First Coast Tea Company) stand out among the rest?

The only two that immediately come to mind ... as far as California vendors go: InSense/ GoldLeaf and
High Sierra Herbals .... Ofcourse there’s more ... but I don’t believe I tried them or I’m just forgetting  (L) B-)

There’s quite a few more on the ILK approved vendor list and Herbaldom is in approval process - there are bunches in this state due to the vast size of the state. Do you just need a list? Or are you shopping to pick up product or?

Am I misguided to think California vendors have higher standards wrt to kratom purity? Heavy metal contamination has been a concern of mine lately based on occasional news articles naming specific vendors testing high for lead, nickel, and other impurities in some of their products. Wondering whether California consumers hold suppliers to higher standards than other regions, even if not required by law. Laurie, if you have a California supplier list handy that would be nice. Vendor websites don't usually indicate where they're located. Thanks!

I don’t have a list handy - sorry DenverJeff! I do find the standards for GMP compliance the self regulation process is a great start for all participating vendors to have tools for keeping product to a minimal standard. Although it is expected of ILK vendors, the standards were created AFTER ILK vendor approvals were begun, so there might be a few grandfathered vendors that are not participating. But since the standards were set by the AKA, vendor approvals have required participation.
The AKA is keeping a full list of GMP compliant vendors and they are not limited to California. Some of my favorite vendors are located in the state - many are not mentioned much but do a good bit of business!
The complete list of compliant vendors is on the AKA Website ( www.americankratom.com ).
