As I have mentioned my doc told me my 24 hr daily headaches for over 50 years are probably caused by my tramadol intake and codeine with acetaminophen. I am Down to 12 mg of tramadol only and no other pain meds and am in agony. Have tried kratom but zero effect. At 3 and 6 gm dosages of best Bali recommended . . But as several have pointed out. Kratom works on same receptors. So best to wait till off all pain meds. My doc says it may take 2-3 months off pain meds to see if it is rebound headaches. Will tak8ng kratom after I’m off meds also cause rebound headaches. And fight my docs plan>? Anyone with experience of detoxing off all pain meds ? Just not sure when the best time to start really experimenting with ktatom.

Hi Jyd!

You’ve come a long way!

I don’t think anyone knows how you’ll do with kratom and when.

No way can we even try to diagnose a change in your dr’s plan. I see no reason to go against your dr’s plan while you are still happy with the support and care you’re receiving.

Just leave the kratom alone and save it for when you have tried the dr’s plan and are not feeling better. You may not need anything if that dr is right.

The only way to find out is to give it a genuine try.

Keep posting now and then so we can learn this lesson with you?!?! Thanks
Laurie

I haven't seen anyone complain about rebound headaches from kratom use on or off kratom, tapering a dose or trying to quit kratom other than withdrawal symptoms such as running nose, body aches, and restless leg syndrome. This is based on two years following kratom journeys nothing scientific.
I hope you find your solution and can have some relief soon

I don't have enough experience with Kratom and no experience with Tramadol. But I have had my share of headaches. I am assuming all other options have been investigated.

I used to get migraines. I took imitrix for that and it worked. I haven't needed that for a long time. I had a friend that had cluster headaches and his doctor prescribed oxygen. When he would get a bout of headaches he would inhale a little extra oxygen and it helped.

A couple years I got canned oxygen from a Pilot supply store. If I feel a headache coming on I inhale it for a few minutes and it helps.

Hope you get relielf soon. Headaches are awful.
