After doing a bunch of reading on the potential kratom benefits and such, I decided to try some since it seemed could be helpful overall for me. I bought from local head shop, but it was super pricey. I've definitely had a good experience so far, it has helped I feel overall with my mood/depression and also cravings for alcohol (I was self-medicating for my depression/mood a lot with alcohol, had some success trying to quit but felt I needed some extra help).

I've looked around at the vendor recommendations and see most vendors don't take credit card but echeck. How safe overall is that experience? I'm thinking of ordering from Otie's but kinda wary. I suppose I could do the mail check/money order route though but just wanted to see others experiences. Also is the issues vendors have with credit card processors due to the muddled legality of kratom from state to state or something (I'm in the US)?

Thanks!

Welcome to the best kratom forum ever, deathfalls!

The credit card issue is due to misinformation and discrimination against kratom vendors. The issue is not necessarily because of the legality of kratom. It’s a long, involved and fairly boring monetary policy called “Operation Choke Point”(now defunct but it kinda started there) and continues today because special interest institutions would like the entire industry illegal and this credit card nonsense is fueled by that misinformation propaganda train.

You’ll find e-check is extremely safe and vendors will only make your first order wait for the check to be good once before your orders can be shipped out more quickly.

Some vendors are still able to accept credit cards.

Otie’s has a fine reputation and is ILK approved!

Welcome to ILK deathfalls. Happy to have you here. :-h

I always order my Kratom with Money Order & haven't had any problems yet. E-Check is very safe just as Laurie said as well.

I've never tried Oties but have heard really good things about them. Can't go wrong with anybody on the Approved Vendor's List. If you have any Questions about Kratom feel free to Private Message me.
If anybody has any Questions about Kratom please private message me or make a Post & I will be glad to answer as soon as I can usually within 24 hours if not sooner. I'm usually on really late at night Between Midnight & 5am.

Welcome to our forum, really happy that you joined.

Check is safe and like previously posted, you can't go wrong with the approved vendors here.

The credit card issue arises from the grey area of kratom right now. Is it a drug? Is it medication? Is it a supplement? It's really hard to tell right now, and it removes liability from credit companies. Short, if you were displeased, you would be protected from purchases like vitamin-c at walmart with your credit card. However, credit card companies do not want to touch kratom with a ten foot pole... Only time will tell if this resolves.

What I would recommend is starting a dialogue with a vendor you think you'd like to use and talk to them about the desired effect you want for the kratom and potential payment methods. I've done CoDs, money orders, western union, and even gift cards. Most vendors aren't in it for the money, but to help people get relief.

Welcome deathfalls :-h

You've found the best kratom forum on the internet (in my biased opinion :woohoo: )

I was lucky enough to find it in March of this year.

Madmaxnightrider and Laurie, along with many other longtimers here, are a wealth of useful information.

I have never had a problem following the advice from them.

If you do find a vendor that accepts CC, I suggest that you don't post it directly on the site. It seems that when someone does that, the vendor gets scrutinized and loses that feature. :(

Welcome aboard the I LK vessel!
I can totally appreciate the uneasiness of figuring out what payment method feels right, what feel safe, well feels legit… I personally have never had any issue with any form of payment that I’ve made using any of the better vendors on ILK ..... My favorite form of payment method is Cash App, takes a few minutes to sign up most vendors except cash app… Once you’re signed up which takes only about five minutes when you’re making a payment to a vendor it’s done in seconds… I would recommend looking into that first of all because of the ease of use and also because security is super high on that! Kratom can be so many different things all at once... At various levels and strengths can be a antianxiety, pain reliever, mood lifter… Good for depression… And also give you energy to get up move around and get done what needs to get done… For me I use it for chronic pain and it’s the best tool I’ve found ever in comparison anything else I’ve ever used to treat chronic pain anxiety and depression, Many folks of use it to get off with many different meds and drugs… Do you lots of reading on old posts available on this forum use the search bar… Lots of information out there and we’re all learning and sharing together what we find out what we’re looking for… Best advice I can give in a nutshell is get a few sample varieties move red white and green… Start small find the smallest amount that works for you and keep it at that amount… With Kratom the less you use the more you get out of it… Less is more with kratom... Lots a good vendors invaded by this beautiful community Otie’s is a great one... hope you find what you’re looking for and feel free to check in any questions you have we all love helping each other here, and with some mindfulness and some set intentions and a little bit of help from folks in similar shoes… There’s lots of potential to be had using Kratom ...

Take care and please keep us posted!(L)

hey deathfalls! im so glad you found us. my headshop expensive garbage is a paperweight once I found this forum. theres many great vendors here. most approved some not. in sense, inland, oties, kratom krates, all amazing product and approved. get small samples or an ounce of different colors to try. see what works for you.

fused flora, high sierra herbals, Bennis, soflo and bow key all great non approved vendors.

typically white strains are for energy and social motivation, yellow for mellow energy and some pain relief. green for mood, energy and pain relief. red and chocolates work best for most for pain relief. typically.

you have any specific questions don't be afraid to ask. a vendor cant tell you how much to take and what they are best for.

welcome! great supportive community here

Yeppers!! This vendors Michele mentioned are stellar ....

Another that I’m really stoked on recently is Lucky Herbal’s... the green Hulu , green maeng da and green Bali are very good !!

InSense : plantation grown....Goldleaf wild harvested... are a vetted ILk vendor that I’ve been very happy with as well....

It can feel overwhelming with all the options ... I rotate kratom purchases from a good handful ...

Can’t go wrong with any of the vendors mentioned or approved by ILK !!

If your not hurting financially I’d suggest getting samples from a few vendors to see what works best for you , while none of the vendors can give medical advice c they can help you pick out varieties that best suit your needs !!

Zelle is also good, and my bank, Capital One, lets me access it with my account online. I just had to set up the android app first, for some reason. I go onto my PC, log into Capital One, and on the page for my checking account there's a tab for Zelle. I enter in the info there that the seller supplies when I make a purchase, hit send, and the money is instantly deducted from my checking account. The merchant will have sent an email to me prior to that which duplicates the information provided at checkout. I reply saying "money sent" and they know to check to see that they got paid, and then they can process my order. Otie's Botanicals accepts Zelle.
