Chinese cats claw.

Best for longer duration in my opinion is coconut oil. Though I can't call this a potentiator, it just tends to lengthen the burn. I'll take with a burn or shortly thereafter and consistent 3 hour burn strains will easily go an extra hour.

thank you so much for this info. I've given up on potentiators because they made me feel nasty, but i will experiment with your advice. How long before your dose do you take the lemon juice and how much of it?

Thank you and after actually listening to your advice I bought cats claw with 4% alkaloids only and akuamma and they are mandatory now because of how well they work and I have a stockpile of nootropic depot agmatine dlpa tyrosine turmeric etc that I finally stopped after a few failed attempts.... I still am trying to learn about all this stuff.

Grapefruit and magnesium not so much but the others dull it so to speak

Exactly!

White grapefruit juice (fresh squeezed) and Chinese Cats Claw are two common potentiators that I use regularly. Both of these are taken before a dose, as well as perhaps so lemon/lime juice. Each either puts the body in a alkaline state, or increases the ability of the body to convert mitra to 7HOM.

With turmeric, black pepper, agmatine, ashplaghanda, theanine, biopeprine, curcumin, etc.... These don't really potentiate, they just have a receptor reseting effect (like potassium after a workout). However, as KMAC points out, they should be taken as far away from a burn. Reason being, not only does each reset receptors a bit, but many also have secondary effects. Turmeric and cumcumin, for instance, is an antioxidant. The only difference in mitra and 7HOM is one oxygen free radical. Hard for the body to convert mitra to 7HOM without the enzymes having extra oxygen to use to convert, that the turmeric/curcumin has removed (anti-oxidant).

So while the turmeric can reset receptors and make it feel more intense burn, it can also inhibit the amount of mitra converted into stronger alkaloids. Net gain is really neutral in most cases (you'll get a more intense initial burn, but not as drawn out). Timing is everything, as you can have your cake and eat it too!

Yes, for what they claim to potentiate i have also experienced dulls the burn. i have also seen conflicting timing with taking potentiators and have done both. I took with and also about an hour before my dose and they were both meh.

does anyone else not like the feeling they get when they potentiate their leaf? magnesium is fine, but turmeric or cayenne pepper specifically make me feel kinda "spicy" inside? i know it sounds silly as hell, but i get that feeling for hours and it kinda overpowers the kratom. makes me feel weird and i prefer just the kratom itself.
