Hello & Welcome to ILK pstevens. I know all too well about Social Anxiety. I rarely get out of the house because I have it so bad. Just something I have to put up with. Green Malay, Green MD, White Thai & White Borneo all seemed to be really good strains for mood lifting as well as energizing along with some relaxation.

It's tough to say which ones will work best for you. The thing about Strains is everybody will get different effects. So you might have to try a bunch of Strains out to see which ones best fit your Situation. For pure anxiety Relief Mulungu Bark is probably the best Herb you could buy. It has a sedating action though but it is a Natural Relaxant that is very strong for any kind of Anxiety.

My go to has been the Dark Red Mengda from Insense. It lifts my mood, wipes out anxiety and provides pain relief. I have never felt sedated on any Kratom, but I may find one. It really does come down to your particular body chemistry.
I know that ultimately we will all have to do a bit of blending to get what we are after. Samples are a good way to go.

If you order the Super Green Malay from Otie's, ask for a sample of the Gold Bali. I find it a bit more relaxing, but not sedating, and if the Super Green Malay isn't relaxing enough, substitute some of it with an equal amount of Gold Bali.

Also worth looking at, imo, are Skullcap, Passion Flower Extract, Theanine, and Lithium Orotate.

Hey pstevens!

I can relate to that feeling of catching your breathe , was prescribed meds that were meant to help and did to a point, till I found kratom .. dropped all the meds and have been feeling ( for the most part ) 80-90% better as far as anxiety and pain goes ...

I’d suggest trying out some green varieties i.e.
green maeng da , green Malay ... these tend to be strong but balanced in pleasant effects of energy and anxiety lowering ... (for me) based on what particular batch/ vendor your getting it from...

Also ... mixing say some white indo ( clean energy without edginess) from Otie’s Botanical with a non sedating red MD (energy while calming the nerves combined with pain relief) might be a good combo to try ..

Natures Cure has in the past had some really good red Borneo .... non sedating , energetic and anxiety lowering qualities ...Also their green Malay was/is very good ...

Also .... green Malay from either Benni Botanical or Otie’s might be a good one to try ...

It’s a good idea to grab a few samples from a couple different vendors to see what types works best for you and then buy a bigger amount of those and rotate between them...

Lucky Herbal has very good consistency of green maeng da that might suit your needs ... I love the energy and anti anxiety / moodlifting / pain relieving effects it gives me ...

It’s hard to say what will be best for your chemistry cause we are all diff and many factors aid into What makes a kratom dose work well ... always take on a empty stomach for example, stay hydrated ... and take the least amount to get the desired benefits ... this will help keep it working better than not.... as tolerance builds from using one strain over and over again everyday and taking to much kratom in general can raise tolerance ... Not a good thing to develop !

Others will add to this ... but I’m confident you can find some varieties that can help you in big ways !

Take care

Brandon

There’s the thing where certain generalized effects based on diff varieties hold pretty consistent but for some folks they have opposite effects

I’d hit up some vendors I mentioned , they cannot give any medical advice but explain what your looking for and they will help with suggestions

Fused Flora is great ... white kapuas is wonderful ... green raiu..lovely ...

Really good options for sampling on the economic and quality point I’d suggest Benni and Fused Flora ,

If financially not strapped I’d buy several type from a few vendors and go from there !!

Hope this was helpful ...

I play in an adult baseball league. I suffer from anxiety, mostly social anxiety, making it difficult to feel relaxed when I am playing, and often not as social as I'd like to be.
