I hope I'm not abusing the term "cured". But I've read that as part of drying a batch of Kratom some processors like to treat it to a wash that has a solution of another herb, or herbs. I can't recall the name of the one herb referenced which I remember thinking that I knew of it. We've heard how Bentaguie can be fermented by leaving sealed up in a bag, possibly after wetted with alcohol, but I've read it implied that some other Kratom have also gotten that treatment, just for a shorter duration. Additionally, sometimes "cured" is differentiated from "dried" in an arbitrary way. We might not recognize a distinction, but to the processor there can be so much more to what they're doing than just getting the moisture level down in the leaves, and allowing the leaves to age.

With tobacco, curing the leaves isn't just about drying them. Like with Kratom, people don't want a heavy taste of chlorophyll.

Ha, I just read that sometimes tobacco gets fermented. Small world!

I also use less, but more frequently. That wouldn’t work well in a job serving the public, but I don’t have that sort of job, so it’s become habit. I like the frequency instead of more because of the safety shield from wobbles AND I can change it up depending on how my pain is or what other symptoms are making themselves known. A lot goes on in the body over one day.

I’m embarrassed to admit that I don’t know about kratom being cured and not just dried. Where have I been, yo? I also ran into the “uncurled” dilemma while buying some precooked bacon yesterday. The NO NITRITES was where I went on choosing brand. But I don’t know the difference between cured and uncurled unless it means something like hung upside down in a sterile free environment, while wet, in a freezer? And THEN cooked to precooked?

Babel-17, you’re amazing. I learn stuff from you ALL THE TIME and all I can offer you is my sincere THANKS.

Double checked my closet, and I also have two 125 gram bags of stem and vein stashed away. That's a definite incentive to whip up a big bag of all the non regular Kratom stuff. lol, I think it was a situation of there being a sale going on. I'll earmark some of the Javanica for nighttime use, as I never thought to try that. Might make some night time Chocolate Bentaguie really notable when combined with it.

Anyway, I felt I was in a good place to try again to nail down what's what with the Kratom One Bali. So far I'm having medium success. I'm glad I remembered this time to try to get a sense of its taste. I got a vibe of it being barely cured like a Gold Bali would be, or maybe just dried and not cured. For now I'm thinking of it as akin to a medium speed Maeng Da, one with enough energy to keep its strong pain relief from being overbearing. Very good inflammation relief, and some solid mood boosting with just the right amount of additional relaxing effects to suggest euphoria, but without making a big deal out of it. I hadn't been thinking that I had anything like a headache, but after taking this my head does feel better.

It's striking me as really well balanced, which is swell, but consequently that makes saying anything meaningful more of a grind. Lol, speaking of grind, it has a very good one. Short of being powdery, which I think is best for allowing its burn to fully develop over time.

I gotta admit, only taking what Tea I want so as to suit the moment, and not to satisfy my curiosity, is working out well, especially when I brought a bit more thought and planning to choosing the when and what of a Kratom serving. I'm of the dose lower/take more frequently school, which works out well for me with maintaining energy, mood, and pain relief.

Tea Time Botanicals? I've made most of my purchases of Stem and Vein from them, but I also have the S&V from Otie's, and Soflo. I was rotating them, and since I have the Red, Green, and White, Stem and Vein from Tea Time, that was quite the rotation. I finally figured that there could also be a virtue in blending everything, so I whipped up a bag of that, all five stem and veins, in addition to Tea Time's Hirsuta, and a half measure of the Javanica.

I took my own advice 40 minutes ago, and had the White Fire with that blend of Stem and Vein, Hirsuta, and Javanica. I think that's smoothed out the fierce come up of the White Fire, which is what I wanted as I'm not rushing out the door. Very nice so far. I took it on an empty stomach with some coffee with cream.

Normally a hundred milligrams of the In Sense Ultra Enhanced Fuzzy Dragon, replacing 100 milligrams of the Tea of choice, is part of that blend, but with something fast like this I don't use it.

Tea Time is fantastic quality, but not the cheapest around, and I'm looking at Fused Flora's Hirsuta now, though I still have an unopened 125 gram bag of Hirsuta, and Javanica, stashed away.

Do You get your S&V primarily from Tea Time? ( don’t know where I got tea house from lol)
Im needing to get some more for my herbal chest , TTB is one I haven’t had the honor of knowing yet .

I absolutely love Hirsuta , pure energy ! Adds nicely to kratom . I also have some javanica, more slower and laid back. some folks blend faster strains with javanica to slow it down , or to a slow leaf to make it even slower ....especially good for night time blends, and thats how I’ve used javanica most of the time .. ...for evening chilaxin mixes. Need to remind myself to get it back into the mixing factory for my ongoing experiment of achieving a zone of contentment, I’m pretty successful lol. Kratom and it’s complimentary herbs are fantastic . Truly blessed / spoiled with herbs , beautiful and wonderful!

Ok. CBD flower ( Babel’s recommendation of source ) and some Kratom One “white fire” , thought I’d try that smaller dose Babel , so far so great :)more pep, and playfulness... just wrestled with 3 my boys , 5, almost 10 and 10 1/2. So there it is , happy as a kratom leaf in Borneo ! B-)Sweet evening to y’all ! (L)

I think adding "Bones" (stem and vein) to White Fire could be interesting and I'm going to give that a try after a few days. I'm hoping they lead to a very smooth and prolonged burn, as the stem and vein should temper the initial heat that I'd otherwise expect. Though I am in the habit now of always also using Hirsuta, and a bit of Javanica, with my Stem and Vein. I premixed them together, and I'll likely do that again when the bag I have of that becomes empty.

Good call , you were spot on about Sakti red , I took my normal dose and was not excited , but had a upset stomach , cutting my dose in half , proved to be exceptional!

I’ll give your suggestion a try , or skip the s&v and just start at 3.5-4gm...... majority of the time my sweet spot is 5-5.5.... but there are “sakti” exceptions to that B-)thank you Babel ..!!..!!..

Yeah, all the other stuff it has going on could be distracting attention from the basic boost that you're looking for. It might be possible that some of the White Fire's alkaloids have a higher threshold before becoming especially noticeable, while the Mitragynine will have an effect at even a small serving size, as too could other stimulating alkaloids. If you want to play a hunch, swap out a gram or more with some Stem & Vein, and then subtract another gram just to see what's what regarding serving sizes.

Nice one Babel! I’m still up in the air on a solid opinion with the white fire, my take so far is it’s very smooth and mellow white… But I do need to play around with my dosage, taking 5.5 g might be too much to get the energy from this particular one.

Also I have similar thoughts on the Bali from Kratom one, pretty good legs on that one… Gave me a sense of warmth and just overall feeling happiness. Nice pain relief as well. Nice long burnin leaf , look forward to getting more aquatinted with this one (L)
