I just had bloodwork done including testosterone done for my yearly physical. Everything was good including testosterone. For the past few years my test has been in the mid to upper 500s.

Thanks for the reply.
No, I do not take iodine.
I just take generic synthroid when I ch makes me sick and I get testosterone shots, 200mg / week.

Its my primary doctor and endocrinologist. I need to find a better doctor for men's health in my area. I live outside Philadelphia. I can't find any good ones in the Philly suburbs near me.

Has your doctor recommended Iodine for your thyroid? While supplementing the Iodine present in your diet might be helpful, that kind of treatment can backfire, as taking too much iodine can exasperate the problem. For many people iodine levels have nothing to do with their thyroid issues, so self treating with Iodine would be a mistake. For myself, I take a regular sized tablet of Kelp everyday, as I only use "Sea Salt" from a mine out west in the USA, and it contains no iodine.

Regarding testosterone and Kratom, I know of no direct connection. But if Kratom helps you sleep better, reduces your stress, helps deal with chronic pain, and boosts your mood, then that could aid in boosting your testosterone, as everything I mentioned can impact on how your body produces testosterone.

Fwiw, I'm retired but I still like pushing and pulling respectable amounts of weight around in the gym, and I've found that low amounts of DHEA can be helpful. Taking large amounts of it can easily become counter productive however, and it's something your doctor should know about. It's an OTC supplement, and inexpensive, but your doctor would need to monitor your T levels if you took it.

Here's what I use, though I do occasionally take one day breaks from it, and all supplements.

For my Kelp I use Now's product, and I guess it's popular as it's "temporarily out of stock".

Hey all,

I have been taking kratom for pain since about 2012. I have been diagnosed with low testosterone and recently with hypothyroidism. I do research and don't find a strong link to kratom but I would like to know the experience of members and what you have found or read?

Thank you,
Rich
