Babel you are Freakin' Awesome. You are what Makes this Forum so Fantastic. Members like you who go out of their way to help others Learn something New.:-? Thanks for looking all of that Fascinating Information up! You know we really don't know that much about Kratom.

I wish they Would do a Deep Study on each of the Alkaloids in Kratom & all their Effects. It can't be just Mitragynine & 7-OH being the Dominant Alkaloids that are causing most of the Effects. All the Other Alkaloids have a Synergistic Effect I would think. All the Alkaloids all Work Together to Create the Full Range of Effects that Kratom has. Mitragynine is Concentrated in Different Percentages in each Type of Strain. I know that Yohimbe has a Kratom Alkaloid in it that they share that is Very Similar.

Same here. The BLOGS on this website are filled with interesting data on kratom, too. Got my “PhD of Kratom” (Hahahaha) from reading those “books” Paul wrote years ago. It’s STILL interesting since the tree is STILL the tree and science won’t change that (I hope it’s not genetically engineered in my lifetime).

I have the time to keep clicking links. :)

That's how I learned about Kratom, this forum, and the reputable vendors linked here that I eventually purchased from.

Out of curiosity I looked to see what the NMDA agonists might be. I'm thinking that there's a chance that since they do the opposite of the NMDA antagonists, maybe they have "anti-wobble" properties, lol.

What's funny is that I take one of those agonists, and it's a popular supplement for both men and women, though it's mainly targeted at men.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NMDA_receptor#Agonists

I'm guessing that most women would take less than the doses common for men.

DHEA for Women and Adrenal Function

I take 50 mg. doses, but the company I use sells 25 mg. as well. Lots of people take hundreds of milligrams a day.

Here's one of the best deals around at 25 mg., though if you buy the larger bottle you save a bit more. I use this brand, just at the larger dose.

I just checked, and there's a company that markets to women. Pricey, but maybe the reviews are helpful. Probably should talk to your doctor before taking the stuff though.

The mystery I’m curious about is why I get the wobbles INSTEAD OF “sedative” benefits. I get the wobbles easily. Taking MORE is usually the cause. I never get a nice nap from taking more.

I wonder if you have stumbled upon some helpful hints!

Your research is fantastic, Babel-17!

I was just reading about Rhynchophylline, which is in both Kratom and Cat's Law (Uncaria Tomentosa). It's a NMDA antagonist, and as a calcium channel blocker it can work to lower blood pressure. Anyway, so I then started reading about NMDA receptor antagonists, and there's an interesting list of substances that work on NMDA receptors on the NMDA Wikipedia page.

Agmatine is on the list, as is Magnesium, and L-Phenylanine, which I take as it's part of DLPA. Some really familiar names at the following link.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NMDA_receptor_antagonist

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhynchophylline

P.S.
So maybe "the wobbles" is connected to getting too much Rhynchophylline? Though I suppose the right amount of it makes for what is the secret sauce of Kratom?

NMDA receptor antagonists are a class of drugs that work to antagonize, or inhibit the action of, the N-Methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR). They are commonly used as anesthetics for animals and humans; the state of anesthesia they induce is referred to as dissociative anesthesia.

Several synthetic opioids function additionally as NMDAR-antagonists, such as pethidine, levorphanol, methadone, dextropropoxyphene, tramadol and ketobemidone.

Some NMDA receptor antagonists, such as ketamine, dextromethorphan (DXM), phencyclidine (PCP), methoxetamine (MXE), and nitrous oxide (N2O), are popular recreational drugs used for their dissociative, hallucinogenic, and euphoriant properties. When used recreationally, they are classified as dissociative drugs.

Somethingsacredgoinonhere wrote: Hey Babel ,

Do you use the agmatine solely as a supplement or and also for Kratom lowering ?? I did get a big bag from Bulk Supplements after your suggestion some time ago, but haven’t been utilizing it .. was meant to be used to lower my Kratom dosage ... first time worked pretty well, I took 2/3 less than my reg dose , and was almost floored , I did take a pretty high dose compared to what I remeberbyou suggesting ... I think I took 1/2 or 1 tsp.. what ever the max dosage says on the bag ....

How do you utilize agamtine ? For working out or Kratom or both..? What’s your regimen? That’s basically my question..!! How, when , why !!

Thx brother (L)

madmaxnightrider covered all the bases exceptionally well, so I can only add my personal experience. I'm doing about one gram, three times a day. I take other aminos, and I'm on a low carb diet, so I have to be careful about dosing the Agmatine away from my meals, and away from my other aminos. On my day off from taking Kratom I also take a day off from taking Agmatine. Since I take it three times a day it's not too hard to time a dose of it before a workout. I'm not strict about the exact timing though.

Edited for spelling, and grammar.
