Like they say in the military (so I've heard) BOHICA ("bend over, here it comes again")! Let's hope the AKA has sufficient funds to protect the kratom industry. I haven't carefully read this whole article, but I have heard that our government, working with Google, is delisting Websites of those who make improper medical claims, so that may be their next step in trying to protect Big Pharma's profits from the kratom industry competition.

The quote, above, from the FDA should have the words "chocolate, coffee, and mother's milk" inserted where the word MORPHINE is used. The FDA lies, not only by what they SAY, but also by what they DON'T say.

Ran across this new story today"

A quote from this article: FDA Targets Websites Selling Illicit Opioids

For now, according to an FDA spokesperson, the pilot program will not target websites selling kratom, an herbal supplement that the agency considers an opioid.

“Websites selling kratom are not being included in this pilot at this time,” the spokesperson said in an email to PNN. “FDA continues to express concerns about kratom, which affects the same opioid brain receptors as morphine and appears to have properties that expose users to the risks of addiction, abuse, and dependence.”
