paradox wrote: yea babel ive been scared off the stuff and super catious. ive never been one to love gabapentinoids or benzos but since phenibut is unique im very catious not to mention that I took about 750mg once and it didn't do much so I drank a couple beers which I threw up for some reason then I took kratom and it was the best kratom experience of my life. wooow did I feel so so good. I basically unintentionally relapsed. ive had this phenibut for about a month now and have only taken it twice. my issue is sleep. if I could get more sleep then id have a easier time weening and a better life. I take my big dose about a hr or so before bed. melatonin dosent work. I just wake up groggy and depressed. passionflower from solar ray dosent work either. plus I heard it can be very toxic if its not the right stuff like kava can be. I got kava from NOW brands which I don't really trust and it wash garbage. maybe I need some good kava or valerian root for sleep??

Hmm, my experience with melatonin is a bit better than yours but I did have some of what you're saying. I tried taking the melatonin way before going to bed, like four hours before, and that helped with my dozing off when hitting the sheets, and with not feeling groggy when getting up.

Valerian works. I use Bulk supplements powder as it's cheap as the dirt that Valerian smells like, lol. More isn't always better with Valerian as that can take you "sideways", and thus not relaxed.

Black tea has caffeine but I have a tolerance for that, and I find it relaxing at night, just not right before bed. Theanine can be good, but like Valerian too much can cause a distracting buzz.

Now adds eleuthero to their kava, which might be fine for daytime use but that could be too stimulating before bedtime. It's an adaptogen so people will have a wide range of reactions to it.

That’s funny! Hahahaha

Still loved “robot” attachment for the context - so perfectly....appropriate! Haha

hey babel others have also complained about waking up in a slump pf groggieness and depression from melatonin. so your idea to take it about 4 hrs before bed sounds like a good idea. my mom was saying that I should of taken 1mg of melatonin inliue of 3mg . so maybe with your your method and her recoomendedd dose I can minimize those next morning side effects. and ive heard others say that valerian is very effective for sleep. more effective than many.

My experience only: valerian not effective for sleep.

Red strains also are not sedating.

Just sharing, tho the discussion sounds helpful and going in a good direction.

I don't find red strains sedating either but some are kiinda calming and short lived for me. some reds hardly work at all for me. they also do not get me on my feet. euphoria and/or enegteic strains is what gets me on my feet. if I don't take a dose a coupe hrs before bed I don't sleep. theres gotta be sometype of herb to help me sleep. if the kratom wears off when im sleeping I usually awake regardless of how good or rested I am. that's what I hate. maybe I need to try kava or some good passionflower extract??

I too sometimes have issues with nodding off at night. A lot of that has to do with my frame of mind. I hate the sense of anything looming over me, so if possible I deal with that in the day time. Just knowing I made a good faith effort is usually enough to keep me from dwelling on any negative thoughts.

I'll try to do something positive in the day so I have that under my belt as an achievement I can take with me to bed.

My back has been sore lately but today I went to the gym, for example. I'll perform a familial responsibility by calling my brother up and see how his week went, down in Florida.

Before bed I'll watch a TV show at Amazon that's free for Prime members that's reliably relaxing, and funny. It's called Corner Gas.

And I sort of have a good plan for tomorrow to take to bed with me. All of this helps.

I take a ton of supplements, and seem to be often adding in new ones to the mix. But Valerian has always been a reliable aid in adding some "chill", as needed. Magnesium can help as well. Just get a version that is highly rated for being absorbable. I'm currently taking Magnesium Malate, but I have a huge bag of Magnesium Citrate for doing a cleanse, or irregularity.

I can Recommend Mulungu Bark for Anxiety or for Sleep. Also Incarvillea Sinensis is good for Sleep as well as it is good for pain also. White MD always puts me to Sleep but that is just how I react to it. I would say taking Valerian with A Sedating Strain would work very good. Re-Leaf has some Sedating Blends.

All These Herbs are very good for Sleep when Blended Together:
Passion Flower
Chamomile
Valerian
Hops
Lemon Balm
Lavender
Magnesium Chelate
L-Theanine
L-Tryptophan
Gaba
If anybody has any Questions about Kratom please private message me or make a Post & I will be glad to answer as soon as I can usually within 24 hours if not sooner. I'm usually on really late at night Between Midnight & 5am.

I’m jealous of those movies (and shipping prices!), Babel! A movie I’m WAITING TO SEE is stuck on “for Amazon Prime only” and I cannot afford it. I don’t wanna buy the dvd, either <—-stubborn
Be sure to check out Beautiful Boy. It’s all the rage in recovery Fellowships! FOMO FOMO FOMO

I’m like you, Madmax. Certain white veins put me to sleep. But due to anxiety, I rarely try them to find out :-o. I only get them as free addies to orders.

My bad. Gotta try it once...
