So I just made my second purchase from gaia. I was informed in the general discussion that I should not mention this vendor in my post due to them not being approved. My question is , why are they not an approved vendor? I read the criteria which one/ones did they not meet?
I had a pretty decent first order from them. Hoping for the second to be better. I've heard of a lot of people ordering from them. I'm just wondering what it takes to get on the approved vendors list and why gaia would not meet the criteria.

Vendors contact the website to apply. Gaia may not have an interest in this website list. They may simply not have the time or inclination. Having to lab test every batch, meet cGMP guidelines, use specific types of sealing bags, etc is expensive and time consuming. There are several steps taken from AFTER the product gets to the ILK vendor, before it can be sold. You’ll notice it’s less expensive to shop with Gaia, as the vendors here need to invest MUCH MORE $$ money and time delays for safety checking than a high volume distributor.

I would ask them. They are tight with this website and the approved vendors. They do such high volume sales, it is probably just a practical business decision. Not EVERY VENDOR is interested in being listed on ILK.

I personally cannot recommend Gaia at all currently. I just left my first purchase experience here:

They're also one of the companies that had salmonella contamination earlier in 2018, affecting almost all of their powdered leaf products.

I think they have their place in the kratom community. They handle large volume sales and they seem to be handling the swarms of people who just now learned of kratom. Gaia seems to do a FINE JOB getting the masses STARTED. That is an important role in REACHING MORE PEOPLE. One good intro order, then MOVE ON. The more, the better when it comes to keeping it legal.
