First Batch of Samples Review:
Green Aceh-Very interesting unique strain. This one will give you a little bit different type of effects each time even with the same dose it seems but you must take more than your usual dosage because this Aceh strain is on the milder side. Usually it gives me an intense focus like underlying energy that makes it very easy to hone in on something that I am doing & I am able to shut out all the distractions around me. Give a slight mood lift. As the does rises the mood lift rises it seems. I can't put my finger on this one. This one is just a strangely unique strain. 61/100

Red MD-Has a funny melted plastic smell when I opened it up & when I tried it it was a strong melted plastic taste but it didn't seem to have any effect on how it responded to its effects. The effects were quite enjoyable. Has a very noticeable strong mood lift to it. Also has a nice relaxed feeling of calmness to it like being warm on a cold day. I'm giving it a lower score because of the smell of it. It seems that the glue or plastic from the pouch somehow seeped into the bag more than it should have. 20/100

Second Batch of Samples Review:
Green MD-Has a good mood lifting effect with some energy to back it up. This is about an average Green MD but is still good in the way the effects lift your mood & make you feel better about life in a mild way. The effects has a short duration & dissipate quickly. 66/100

Red MD-This time this Red MD didn't have that Strong Aroma of a Chemical Signature of Glue or Melted Plastic but had a very slight taste of cardboard. Could be the process that they use to make the pouches or the sealing of the pouches. This one has a mild mood lift with some mild pain relief. So it is about middle in the road in terms of effects from energy to relaxation. The effects are more in the background but are not bad at all. Just are just a little mild. 59/100

Kratom Quality 60/100
Customer Service 65/100
Shipping 45/100
Pricing 83/100
My Overall 63/100

First of all this Vendor needs to learn how to ship their products without having the consumer having to pay for the shipping when is has arrived. The shipping payment should be taken care of before it has ever shipped. Second off the state of the art sealing process with using the glue or whatever they use is not working at all because in the Red MD Pouch it has a very strong odor of a chemical, plastic or glue smell. When ingested it gives me a slight headache just to taste this odor. So that is not gonna cut it at all even though the Green Aceh was of good quality. Now the second time they sent samples I didn't smell the Melted Plastic Smell. I did smell a very slight hint of glue in the pouches. In my opinion I would change the pouches that they come in. The shipping was good & fast. The Powder was of average quality. They have a good choice of strains to choose from. Prices are below $90 per kg & $97 for a split kg. So that is a good price considering almost every vendor is raising their prices. NuEarth re-sent more samples once they learned of the glue smell that was in first Samples. So they did a good job re-sending the samples. Their website was very simple to use. They have extracts as well as capsules that they offer. So all in all I have to say that even though the first samples had a smell of glue in them they were pretty good. I would have to try out more strains & would have to make sure that that Glue Smell is completely taken care of before I can Fully Recommend them yet.
If anybody has any Questions about Kratom please private message me or make a Post & I will be glad to answer as soon as I can usually within 24 hours if not sooner. I'm usually on really late at night Between Midnight & 5am.

I tried both these two batches of samples that Mad Max did. I LIKED the Green Aceh in the first batch, but was equally turned off and suspicious about the Red MD. Once the problem with the sealing glue was corrected, I rather liked the second batch, both the Red and Green MD.

WE're all different and we react differently to the same products from the same vendor, so we need to factor this in. I am not in any way disagreeing with Mad Max; we just had a different experience on the same strains -- and all forum members will, too, to some degree.

There are a lot of good vendors. I think buying in smaller quantities and then rotating strains often is a good way to keep the experience fresh. I would never buy a kilo unless I knew it was a rare exceptional strain that I might never see again.

So after many years as an executive chef in both independent restaurants and high end corporate restaurants, I needed a break to recharge.  I got into Kratom in this sabbatical that I have entered, and like everything else I do in life, I research everything I can and experiment with the products I will be experimenting with.  So when I got into Kratom over the past year, I have a little checklist that I went by to pledge my loyalty to a company. The first is customer service, second is quality, third is freshness, fourth is color of product and the last is shipping. After trying many samples and purchases from many companies that fit my checklist, Nu earth botanicals fit my criteria. The customer service interaction I had with them made me feel like I am part of their family.  I love the "mom and pop" feeling I get with them. That is more my style since I am taking a break from corporate entities.  They are very informative and I get the feeling that they truely care about their customers. After lots of samples from multiple companies, I have gained a general idea of how to tell about the quality, freshness and color of product. The quality is of the highest quality from all the companies I have sampled and purchased, and the freshness is second to none. The color of the product is super consistent and what I see on the Nu earths website is consistent with the product I have purchased time and time again.  As far as shipping goes, I have had zero issues with them, and they get my purchases to me with quickness. Another point that I want to make is that their competitive prices are incredible, match that with their high quality products, to me, they are the best kratom distributors of the many companies I have tried. I highly recommend Nu earth botanicals and they will not disappoint.  From here on out, Nu earth botanicals will be my one and only kratom company.

Welcome to the best kratom forum ever, El Nick!

Thank you for sharing positivity and a detailed review of one of the new ILK APPROVED VENDORS. Very cool for a first post!
We appreciate that sort of input! It really helps other people, members or lurkers, feel comfortable with vendors.

Looking forward to more contributions from you on the forum!

Laurie, I'm online (Isis). I have a question. Is there a difference between yellow and gold leaf? By the way I just got my first shipment from Rob at InSense.

Sorry I’m late, Isis. But, I think probably yes. Drying technique is where the color is decided. I think it can greatly depend from one vendor to the next. So in this case, I would ask Rob. So I will send him this link so you can get his reply since it’s from him.

Personally, I like gold or yellow and I take them interchangeably as you were basically asking.

But each vendor knows more about WHY it is that color and what you can probably expect.

I think they affect different people differently as well. I get energized from those strains, but many folks here call them “relaxing” and “good for winding down at the end of the day”, so there is personal chemistry to consider.

Look for Robs reply shortly, in this thread.

Great question and hopefully others will share their thoughts (and results) on gold/yellow strains.

I gave a small review of 2!strains from them ... I found that the quality was there and I agree with El Nick.. very fresh smell to it ... nice interactions with them as well... I’d like to try more of their strains , hopefully in the not to distant future , by all appearances they seem to have nice things to offer

Thx again NuEarth

Thanks for that good question, it’s nice to know the differences, I will simply give you my experience with those .
Yellows and Golds are not the same, yellows are in between a green and a white, gold’s often are euphoric and mellow
A true yellow should be more energizing then a gold, gold will have more euphoric properties and be relaxing later, but as I said yellows should have more energetic properties with them,
I hope this answers your question.
