Hi! First post!
So here's my problem.

I can't toss and wash or mix kratom into water and chug it anymore because the plant matter started giving me awful stomach aches.
So I turned to kratom tea. I made it by putting hot water and freshly squeezed lemon juice in an insulated thermos, shaking it vigorously, and straining it after steeping for 30 minutes. It always tasted like bile no matter what i tried to sweeten it with but I always ate right after it to enhance its effects and to avoid nausea. This worked for a while.
But suddenly, doing the same method, the taste started making me really nauseous. I get nauseous even thinking about doing kratom again.

Because of how many people insist that they love the taste of kratom tea, I have a theory that different strains from different vendors produce different tasting teas. I've been using strains only from In Sense Botanicals (aka Gold Leaf Botanicals) , and primarily green hulu.

So what do you use for your kratom teas? And how does it taste?

Welcome to the best kratom forum ever, Hardcouriste!

You’ve run into what I think is perhaps a more common issue than realized yet out there - as more people are using the leaf now. So more stomachs are not fans of the plant material.

You can expect some good responses and suggestions now that you’ve put the word out.

Definitely try using the SEARCH button here and type in keywords like ‘nausea’ to fill the time while you wait for personal attention here. You’re not alone.

One thing that many tummies decide to do - and I recommend you not do this - is try using extract instead. This problem is leading more people to using extract instead to circumvent the plant material. I’m not saying you asked about this, but I’ve seen this on other forums as well, so I’m just going to take the opportunity you’ve presented to warn the others who may not know...

The extract ALONE without being properly diluted with powder is a direct route to addiction. There’s no easy way to say that, as kratom is very benign when used properly. Please continue to grapple with this issue without getting yourself into a situation of great personal expense on many levels.

Hang in there.

I have considered extracts but decided at a point it was a bad idea. I know for a fact i would not be able to keep it in moderation. Thanks for confirming my suspicions Laurie!

I drink kratom stirred in water I fortunately have not experienced stomach issues. I can drink akuamma powder the same way I must have a bitter taste super power.

Green Hulu is a favorite strain of my from Goldleaf. Have you tried a break from kratom or different vendor?

Here a video from drew and his tea making method

I see he puts it in the fridge overnight, that might reduce the effect on my gag reflex while drinking it haha. I had been taking a break from kratom since the nausea from the last time i made kratom tea was so unpleasant. In Sense botanicals is the only vendor I have tried, but I plan on ordering some from a different vendor, hence this post.

Ginger and peppermint help with nausea. Fresh or dried. Might have to consider that your body is trying to tell you something, your dose might even be too high.
I use 3 to 4 different vendors but I am not one to give suggestions on taste I have high biter tolerance.
Hopefully others with different palettes can come up with suggestions.
There are quite a few videos on tea preparation out there if you search.
